Encounter. Pursue. Love. WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 6:30PM

Photos from Foley Assembly Youth's post 09/24/2026

Last night, we continued Prophet Series: Elijah 🔥

We talked about what happens when God leads us into seasons we don’t understand—seasons where He provides differently than we expected, asks us to trust Him with what little we have, and begins cutting away what can’t come with us into the next season.

Elijah’s story reminds us: the wilderness isn’t wasted, the testing isn’t pointless, and you are NOT a nobody.

If you weren’t there… you definitely missed something 👀

God is still shaping. God is still providing. God is still calling.

What is He asking you to trust Him with? What is He asking you to leave behind?

🌎 MEET SUSAN RICKETTS 🇯🇵

What if reaching a generation could help reach an entire nation?

Susan Ricketts serves as an AGWM missionary in Japan, working with Chi Alpha Japan, Shinagawa Bethel Church, and the Missionary Field Committee.
Japan is one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. With millions of people living in Tokyo alone, there is an incredible need for the hope of the Gospel to reach the next generation.

And Susan is helping make that happen.

Through Chi Alpha Japan, Susan is reaching university students with the Gospel, building relationships, discipling young people, and helping create a foundation for the Gospel to reach families, communities, and the marketplace.

In 2022, Chi Alpha Japan was able to restart ministry on university campuses—but the need is still enormous.

There are approximately 3 million students across more than 1,000 universities, and more workers are needed to reach them.

This is what missions looks like.
It’s stepping into places where the Gospel is not yet known.
It’s reaching a generation with hope.
It’s investing in students who can impact their families, communities, and nation.

And through Passport to the Nations, we have the opportunity to be part of what God is doing through missionaries like Susan.

Part 2 of PROPHETS was all about Jonah:
🐋 “You Can’t Outrun God’s Grace.”

Jonah ran. God pursued. And the message hit HARD.

🌎 MEET MITCH & TAMMY WOLLNER 🇮🇩

What does it take to reach people who have never heard the Good News?

Sometimes, it starts by preparing someone to go.

For years, Mitch and Tammy Wollner have served in many different ways—as pastors, church planters, teachers, trainers, and dorm parents. Today, their ministry is helping build a culture of missions and reach people who have yet to hear the Gospel.

For the past six years, Mitch has worked closely with Indonesia's national leadership to help develop a missions sending movement focused on the country's 200+ unreached people groups.

He trains pastors, recruits and prepares potential cross-cultural workers, and helps equip people to go into communities where the Good News has never been heard.

Right now, they are focused on reaching more than 10 unreached people groups.
But the Wollners' ministry doesn't stop there.

Tammy founded a learning center in partnership with a local church and Compassion International to help meet the educational needs of children in a vulnerable community affected by the pandemic.

She also founded New Beginnings, a safehouse and empowerment program partnering with Project Rescue to provide support and a new beginning for survivors of s*x trafficking.

This is what missions looks like.
It’s preparing people to go.
It’s reaching those who have never heard.
It’s investing in the next generation.
It’s bringing hope where hope is desperately needed.

And through Passport to the Nations, we have the opportunity to be part of stories like this.

🌎 MEET JON & DEDE MCCLUEY

What if the Gospel could reach someone in their own language—even when that language isn't spoken?

Jon and DeDe McCluey are missionaries serving with Network 211 and AG World Missions, with a heart to reach one of the world's most underserved and unreached populations: the global Deaf community.

Their work is helping create opportunities for Deaf people around the world to encounter the Gospel in a language they can understand.

Right now, they are partnering with Network 211 to develop a global Deaf outreach platform, expanding resources into additional sign languages—including Nigerian Sign Language and Colombian Sign Language—with plans to continue reaching even more people.

Their ministry also connects with the Global Deaf Peoples Initiative, which is focused on reaching 123 unreached Deaf people groups around the world.

And their impact continues to grow in Colombia, where they are partnering with the Deaf community, helping develop Bible resources in Colombian Sign Language, and hosting conferences designed to evangelize, disciple, and strengthen Deaf ministries.

This is what missions looks like.

It’s meeting people where they are.

It’s communicating the Gospel in a language they understand.

It’s making sure that no one is forgotten.
And through Passport to the Nations, we have the opportunity to be part of stories like this.

🌎 MEET CALEB & BRITTANY HENDON

What if reaching an entire community with the Gospel started with simply telling a story?

Since 2017, Caleb and Brittany Hendon have been living among unreached people groups along the Amazon basin of Peru. For nine years, Yurimaguas has been home for the Hendons and their three children, Emma, Isabella, and Lucas.

Their mission is simple: plant churches, disciple believers, and take the Gospel to people who have never heard it.

But their reach goes far beyond one city.

Caleb serves as the National Director of Orality in Peru and leads the Oral Bible Seminary in Ullpayacu. In many indigenous communities, reading and writing are uncommon. So instead of allowing that to become a barrier to the Gospel, the Hendons are equipping indigenous men and women to learn Scripture through storytelling and carry those stories back to their own communities — in their own language — where they can multiply from person to person.

This is what missions looks like.
It’s people going.
It’s people being equipped.
It’s the Gospel crossing cultures, languages, rivers, and generations.

And through Passport to the Nations, we have the opportunity to be part of that story.
