Foley FFA

Last week, our 2026-2027 Chapter Officers and some other members spent the week in Montgomery for the 98th Annual Alabama FFA Convention. Members competed in the employability skills and the ag mechanics competitions. We had 4 graduated seniors be recognized on stage for earning their FFA State Degrees, which is the highest honor the state association can award its members. The chapter was also recognized on stage for our National Chapter Award application that earned a Silver rating. Our application will be submitted to the National FFA Organization for judging, and we will be recognized on stage in Indianapolis this fall at the National FFA Convention and Expo. For some of our members, this was their last event as a Foley FFA member, and we wish them the best in all of the future endeavors! Our current officer team is excited for a year full of possibilities! This was a great way to kick off our summer!

On Monday, we held our annual banquet to celebrate the achievements from the last year. Over the last year, we have completed so many activities and events to better our members and propel our chapter into the next year! Thank you to our supporters for everything! Congratulations to our graduating officers and members, and good luck on the next chapter. We have an exciting year lined up for the 2026-2027 school year!

Today, Foley FFA had several teams compete at South District Eliminations. The results are in, and the following teams or individuals have qualified for the state competitions:

-Ag Mechanics placed 2nd
-Horse Evaluation placed 4th
-Mahaley Bryant placed in the top two for Employability Skills

All students on these teams will be competing in their respective contests in May and June before Alabama FFA Convention. Congratulations to all our teams for their hard work and dedication over the past several months preparing for today! We are proud of all students that competed and stepped out of their comfort zones!

Next stop: Auburn for state contests!
