When installing paint protection film we like to do what we call in our industry a "bulk install" on hoods rather than a precut pattern. While we do install precut patterns for some smaller hoods we have found, especially on larger hoods that a bulk install is the way to go. This Mercedes Sprinter is the perfect example; by taking a large square piece of film and stretching the four corners tight until there's no fingers or wrinkles in the film. Once we have stretched and secured our corners, we can see that the rest of the film is laying flush over the surface and we get it squeegeed out in no time at all. In our final steps we trim off the excess material, leaving enough film to wrap over the edges then complete the process by heating everything down.
