There are posts I’ve dreamed of making as a photographer, and this was never one of them. 💔

After a lot of prayer and countless conversations over the last few days, I’ve made one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

Because of some needed life changes and the season I’m currently walking through, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to take an indefinite hiatus from photography.

This wasn’t a decision I made lightly, and it certainly wasn’t one I wanted to make. Photography has become so much more than just taking pictures to me. It’s been the privilege of telling your stories, celebrating milestones, preserving memories, and meeting some of the most incredible people along the way. Every family, every senior, every couple, every child, and every client who has stepped in front of my camera has left a lasting mark on my heart.

If you currently have a session booked with me, please know that I have either already reached out personally or will be doing so shortly. I never wanted anyone to hear this through a Facebook post before hearing it from me directly.

To everyone who has supported Kaitlyn Ranea Photography over the last year and a half—whether you booked a session, shared my work, recommended my name, prayed for me, or simply encouraged me along the way—thank you. You gave me the opportunity to live out a dream, and I’ll never be able to fully express how grateful I am for every ounce of support you’ve shown me.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know this isn’t goodbye forever if I can help it. My hope is that one day, when life allows, I’ll be able to pick up my camera again and do what I love with my whole heart.

Until then, thank you for trusting me with your memories, for supporting this little dream of mine, and for showing me so much kindness over the last year and a half.

Wyatt celebrated turning one in the best way, and cousin Jackson was more than happy to join the adventure and add to the chaos in true Luke Duke fashion. If you ask me, I’d say they were just “some good ole boys” who made the perfect little Bo and Luke!
