I’ll be on track racing the Legend car on June 27th, and I want to let everyone know ahead of time that this will unfortunately be my last race of the season.

Right now I’m dealing with a lot personally, and I don’t feel like I’m in the right headspace to give the performance, focus, and effort that the fans, my team, and my sponsors deserve. Racing has always meant everything to me, and showing up anything less than 100% just wouldn’t be fair to anyone watching or supporting me.

I want to sincerely thank every single sponsor who has stood behind me this season. Your support means more than I can put into words, and I’m truly grateful for each of you. I also want to thank the fans for always showing up, cheering, and believing in me through everything.

I’m sorry I can’t finish the season the way I wanted to, but I appreciate all the continued support more than you know.

See you June 27th.

šŸ Race Recap – Sunday, May 24th šŸ

Started the day off with hot laps and the car was really loose. We came back into the pits, made a couple adjustments, and found some better traction going into the night.

Went out for the dash and unfortunately spun out and got hit pretty hard. Huge thanks to everyone who helped us find a front bumper and get the air dam fixed so we could make it back out for the feature.

We were able to finish the night with a P13. Not exactly where we want to be, but every week we're learning, improving, and getting faster. We'll keep digging and come back stronger next race day.

As always, thank you to everyone who supports us, helps in the pits, and keeps us going every weekend. šŸ

šŸ RACE DAY READY šŸ

The 3M Legend is cleaned up, loaded up, and ready to hit the track tomorrow. After fighting through some issues lately, we’re ready to put our heads down and go racing again. Huge thanks to everyone who helps keep this thing going week after week — family, friends, crew, and sponsors.

Hoping for a smooth night, fast laps, and to keep this beautiful hot rod in one piece. Come out and support your local racers if you can! šŸ”„šŸŽļø

Tough night for the 3M Legend team.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to make hot laps or race our main event due to the car not wanting to stay running along with ongoing voltage issues. On top of that, there were some personal issues in the pits that definitely made for a rough night all around.

We did manage to get out there for the B Dash, but the car was extremely loose — felt like we were drifting through the corners half the race. Truthfully, Josh’s head just wasn’t fully in the game tonight, and sometimes nights like that happen in racing.

Even with all the frustration, we still want to thank everyone who stuck by us and helped throughout the night. Racing is full of highs and lows, and we appreciate every person in our corner helping us keep pushing forward. We’ll regroup, get the bugs worked out, and come back stronger next race night. šŸ’ŖšŸ

The countdown is on. šŸ

The first Legend race at Colorado National Speedway is only a couple weeks away, and Joshua Downey is getting ready to put the 3M Legend back on track. This season means more than just racing. We recently lost my grandfather—the man who helped spark this dream—and every lap this year is dedicated to him. He may not be in the stands, but he’ll be riding with me every time that engine fires.

After the work, the setbacks, and the rebuilds… it’s time to chase it again—with a little more purpose behind it.

Huge thank you to our current sponsors: Fry's Auto Care , Alma de Arte Designs & Customs, and Colorado Iron & Metal. Your support means everything and helps keep this car on the track.

We’re still looking for additional sponsors to join the team this season. Whether you’re a local business or just someone who wants to be part of the ride, this is your chance to get your name on a car that’s built on grit, heart, and determination.

Every lap we turn, every green flag we chase—it’s for something bigger now.

If you’re interested in sponsoring or want more details, reach out and let’s make this season one to remember.

For you, Grandpa. šŸā¤ļø
