Front Range Elite
Front Range Elite provides athlete support to an elite group of women with an initial goal to qualify for the Olympic Trials, Team USA.
Our group founders are working to grow the group to attract & include professional runners to represent NoCo.
Mike Morgan, one of the OG is on this week's episode of Conversation Pace with FRE.
He was a member of the Hansons Original Distance Project for over 15 years, a three-time Team USA representative. With more than 20 years in the sport, he’s seen a lot of changes- from training and racing to the way professional runners approach the sport.
We talk about some of the biggest moments of his career, racing at the Olympic Trials and on the world stage, how running has changed over the years, and what hasn’t changed at all.
A really fun conversation with someone who has been around the sport for a long time and has plenty of stories to tell.

Never Summer race results! What an incredible weekend in the mountains, with podium finishes all around.
delivered an outstanding performance in his very first ultramarathon, finishing 2nd in the 60K with a blazing time of 5:55.
Cal’s post-race thoughts: Never Summer was a dream- such a fun challenge, unique to anything I’ve done before. With all the unknowns, I focused on process goals (fueling, effort, headspace), so I feel lucky that everything came together for a back-of-mind, stretch goal: sub-6 hours and under the old course record! I still have tons to learn and improve on, so already can’t wait to go again!
In the 100K, raced with confidence from the start, claiming the win and breaking the tape in 13:18. rounded out an incredible day by earning 3rd place in 14:37.
Liv’s post-race thoughts: (in comments)
Taylor’s post-race thoughts: Ultras never fail to teach you something new, and for me Never Summer 100k was a lesson in gritting it out when things got really tough. My day took a turn for the worse pretty early on, but the best crew and pacer () on the planet kept me rolling when I desperately wanted to quit, and I’m really proud of making it to the finish line!!
Anyone who has climbed, hiked, or run at altitude knows just how demanding these mountains are. Performances like these are truly exceptional. Huge congratulations to Cal, Liv, Taylor, and everyone who took on the challenge this weekend!

We've had some incredible races this year, but our hearts belong to the miles shared together.
Because long after the results fade, it's the people and the process that keep us coming back.

We're fortunate to have a team full of athletes putting together incredible seasons, and we'll be highlighting more of them throughout the year.
Today's Season Spotlight: Esteban Trujillo is putting together something special.
As his coach put it:
"Given your 2:14 marathon and now a 30:24 road 10K, you've put together one of the strongest American masters résumés in recent years."
To put that 30:24 into perspective, it's estimated to rank among the fastest road 10K performances ever by an American masters athlete:
Bernard Lagat- 27:48
Abdi Abdirahman- 29:42
Esteban Trujillo- 30:24
Congratulations, , on an incredible season.

Happy Birthday America!!!! 🎇
We celebrated the best way we know how- with races across the USA! 🇺🇸
Race results:
Sophie raced the in Yorktown, IN finishing 1st 🥇 and stopping the clock at 22:32. Just two weeks after Grandmas marathon on a hot and humid day, this is an incredible showing!
In Eugene, OR Esteban broke the masters course record in the 10k in a blistering 30:24. 🙌🏼 He’s in good form going into his next marathon training block!
AnnMarie couldn’t help but race the local Firekracker 5k even post Grandmas marathon. (Don’t worry, both Sophie and AnnMarie took an end of season break). She was 1st place masters and had 1st place fun - especially cheering on all the FRE Youth.
Congratulations to everyone! How lucky we are to live in a country where we can pursue our passions.
