Professional Agricultural Sorority striving for achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service since 1991 at Colorado State University.
Sigma Alpha is not your typical sorority, we are girls just like you. Many of us come from farms or ranches and others just have a strong passion for Agriculture. Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship among its members. The sorority was founded in 1978 at the Ohio State University by five women who wanted an alternative to the social Greek sorority system. Since that time, Sigma Alpha has become a national organization consisting of more than 80 chapters, comprised of undergraduate and alumni members. Today, more than 11,000 members have been initiated into Sigma Alpha Sorority. We're growing steadily as others in agriculture learn about us. The Nu chapter of Sigma Alpha was established on May 4, 1991. Today we have about 40 active members. We are very excited to bring new women into our ever growing chapter. We pride ourselves in academic success, community service, and sisterhood events. We are very involved in the College of Agricultural Sciences as well as Fraternity and Sorority Life.

It is with heavy hearts that’s we share the passing of beloved Sigma Alpha sister and friend, Kira Doyle. Kira was a sister we could rely on. She was always ready to try something new, especially with a smile on her face. Kira taught us to find the joy in the little things and to love each other always. Kira was well known in our chapter as a Little Sister, a Big Sister, and our Recruitment Director. Kira’s memory will live long in our hearts and our chapter for years to come. We will always live life to the fullest and will be sure to have a little more fun, thanks to Kira. ❤️🕊️
