Why does the installation surface matter when renting a tent? ⛺

The surface determines how your tent can be safely secured:

🌱 Grass installations: Tents can often be staked into the ground. Our stakes extend approximately three feet underground, so public utility locates are required and customers must identify private lines such as sprinklers, irrigation systems and outdoor electrical lines.

🧱 Concrete or no-stake areas: When staking isn’t possible or permitted, the tent must be secured with heavy weights. Our tent weights are approximately 500 pounds each and require specialized equipment—and adequate access—to move them into place.

Weighting also adds equipment and labor costs, so knowing the installation surface early helps us prepare an accurate quote and installation plan.

Trying to keep your event rental costs down? Customer pickup may be a great option!

Smaller rental orders can often be picked up directly from our Fort Collins warehouse, allowing you to skip the delivery fee. Our team will have everything prepared for you, and you’ll be responsible for loading, transporting, unloading and returning the items.

For larger orders—or when you simply want one less thing to handle—delivery and pickup may be the better choice. Our delivery team can bring your rentals directly to your event location and return afterward to collect them.

⚠️ Choose your rental company carefully!

We’ve seen an influx of last-minute calls from customers whose original rentals arrived broken, didn’t show up at all, or whose vendor couldn’t provide what they promised.

Unfortunately, when this happens days before an event, options can be extremely limited — especially for tents.

Remember: there’s a big difference between someone who owns rental items and a professional rental company.

Before booking, check reviews, ask about insurance, look at their inventory and make sure they have the experience and staff to deliver what they’re promising.

A cheaper price isn’t much of a deal if you’re scrambling to replace everything the week of your event. ❤️

⛺ DON’T WAIT FOR THE FORECAST TO RESERVE YOUR TENT! ☀️🌧️

One of the biggest misconceptions we see during event season is that you can wait until the week of your event, check the weather forecast, and add a tent if rain or extreme heat is expected.

Unfortunately, by then, it’s often too late.

Tents are typically one of the first items we sell out of — especially during our busy spring, summer, and fall weekends. They also require significantly more time and manpower from our delivery crews than most other rental items, so our tent installation schedule can fill up even before our regular delivery schedule does.

Even if we still have the physical tent available, we may not have the crew capacity or installation time available to add it at the last minute.

If having a tent would make or break your event in the event of rain, heat, or unpredictable Colorado weather, we strongly recommend reserving it from the beginning rather than relying on the forecast the week of.
