Springfield Elementary School

📣These Springfield C**ts earned *PERFECT* scores on SC Ready for science or math.
🎉We are so proud

We did it C**ts! We reached our goal and had blast at the Fun Run today! 🐴🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Thank you to everyone who donated to help make our school great!

Today our 5th grade students celebrated their learning with a Wild West Celebration! This was a culmination of all of their hard work in a cross-curricular event bringing together Science, Social Studies and ELA, where they have spent the last 6 weeks learning all about the Homestead Act and Westward Expansion. Students made their own trail mix and lemonade, bringing in Science with mixtures and solutions. They then shared their knowledge of push and pull factors by exchanging letters written to each other to either encourage or discourage the movement west. Of course we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have students don their best western gear celebrating Springfield Elementary’s 25th year as a school in the Fort Mill District! Turns out being a c**t and celebrating the Wild West go pretty well together!

Check our page later to see who won the chicken wing contest!!!! 😉

Also, please check out Ms. Tyler’s 5th Grade class bringing science to life. Look in the comment section for the videos! The kids are acting as living models to show how particle movement causes phase changes in matter.

Please wear your C**t gear and school colors on Friday to celebrate our 25th Anniversary!!!!

🐴💙 25 years ago, Springfield Elementary opened its doors. This Friday, we're celebrating everyone who's walked through them since. 🐴💙
