It was a hot, hot weekend, but families found the perfect way to cool off! ☀️💦
We spent a few hours swimming, fishing, playing on the playground, and just enjoying being together.

We love the easy moments like these—no big agenda, just families having fun, making memories, and growing closer. ❤️ Sometimes respite looks like a lake day, and we’re here for it!

We’ve talked about connection recently, and honestly, we LOVE hearing this phrase at our events. 🥹
Kids come to our respite events to play, laugh, make friends—and hopefully leave knowing a few more familiar faces the next time they show up.
Because sometimes the best part is having a place where you’re not “the foster kid.” You’re just a kid who knows someone, has a friend, and is there to have a good time.
And while the kids are making connections, parents get a few hours to themselves. 🙌
More friends for the kids. A little breathing room for the parents. A win all around.

Saturday, kids enjoyed an afternoon filled with Legos, coding, robotics, Minecraft, switch boards, marble runs, manga tiles, and more at Code Ninjas Tega Cay! Screen time was turned into skill time with activities that built problem-solving, creativity, and confidence, while caregivers had two hours of free time!
