Repose Well
Repose Well Recovery is a modern wellness studio dedicated to helping you restore, recharge, and perform at your best.
Experience advanced recovery therapies in a calming, elevated space designed for total mind-body renewal.
Somewhere between “I should probably post on Instagram,” “how do I find the right people to grow my team?” and “why are there SO many bills?”…
I remember:
Wait… we own a business. 🥹
Little me had absolutely no idea what she was getting herself into 😂
Owning a business is equal parts exciting, terrifying, fulfilling, stressful, and “I’ll figure it out.”
But getting to build something I believe in, help people feel better, create jobs, and watch Repose Well become more than just an idea is pretty freaking cool.
Even on the days when my brain has 47 tabs open.
Little Hannah would be proud. 🤍

GLAMOUR says the “Massage Flu” is real… but what does the research actually say? 👀
You may have heard people say they felt tired, achy, nauseous, headachy, or just a little “off” after a massage — sometimes called the “massage flu.”
Here’s the thing: “massage flu” isn’t a medical diagnosis, and there isn’t evidence that massage is “releasing toxins” from your muscles and making you sick.
But that doesn’t mean someone’s post-massage symptoms aren’t real.
Massage and manual therapy can temporarily influence the nervous system, circulation, pain perception, and muscle tissue. Some people may experience short-lived soreness, fatigue, headache, lightheadedness, or other symptoms after treatment — particularly following more intense bodywork.
Other factors can matter too: hydration, whether you’ve eaten, medications, stress, sleep, your current health, and simply how your individual body responds to treatment.
So rather than saying:
❌ “You feel bad because massage released toxins.”
A more accurate explanation is:
✅ “Your body may be responding to the treatment, and there are several possible reasons why.”
And feeling terrible after a massage isn’t proof that the massage “worked.” More intensity and more soreness do not automatically equal better results.
At Repose Well, our goal isn’t to beat your body into submission. It’s to use thoughtful, individualized bodywork to support the outcome we’re actually trying to achieve.
And if you experience symptoms that are severe, unusual, or don’t resolve, that deserves medical attention — not a “detox” explanation.
Save this one for the next time someone tells you massage is “flushing toxins.” 😉

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the love you showed Repose Well! We truly love what we do, and we’re incredibly grateful to be part of the Fort Mill community. 🤍
As we continue to grow, I’m looking for another exceptional massage therapist to join our team!
This isn’t a position I’m looking to fill just for the sake of growing. I’m looking for someone who is passionate about therapeutic, outcome-focused bodywork and has invested in advanced education beyond their initial massage training.
Experience in areas like visceral or nerve manipulation, myofascial work, neurofascial techniques, sports massage, oncology massage, prenatal massage, or lymphedema therapy would be especially valuable. They certainly don’t need to have all of these!
I’m looking for someone truly special, and compensation will reflect their experience, advanced training, and the value they bring to our clients.
If a therapist comes to mind—or you know someone who takes their craft seriously and would thrive in this kind of environment—I would be so grateful if you’d tag them or send this their way. 🌿
Great recovery isn’t just about one provider — it’s about the right team. I love recommending local PTs based on their specialty, and Dr. Taylor is someone at the top of my list for sports rehab. 🙌
Tag someone who needs to know about this!

What if the “knot” you keep trying to work out… isn’t really a knot?
We’ve been taught to think of painful areas as tight tissue that needs to be stretched, smashed, released, or worked on harder.
But pain is more complicated than that.
Sometimes an area hurts because the nervous system has become more sensitive and protective — meaning more pressure isn’t necessarily the answer.
Good bodywork isn’t just about forcing tissue to change. It’s about understanding what your body is communicating and giving the nervous system new, safe sensory input.
That’s why at Repose Well Recovery, we don’t believe the most effective massage is always the deepest massage.
Sometimes the goal is pressure.
Sometimes it’s movement.
Sometimes it’s calming sensitivity.
Sometimes it’s simply finding the input your body responds to best.
Your body isn’t a collection of knots that need to be beaten into submission.
Understand your body. Work with it — not against it.
Save this one if you’ve ever wondered why that same “knot” keeps coming back. 🌿
At Repose Well, you are never expected to simply lie down and accept a one-size-fits-all treatment.
You know your body and your lived experience. We bring clinical training, thoughtful observation and a variety of recovery tools—and together, we shape the session around what you need that day.
Whether you’re receiving therapeutic massage, lymphatic care, red light therapy, PEMF or compression therapy, you are always encouraged to speak up, ask questions and request adjustments.
You lead the way. We’re here to listen, support and help you recover well. 🌿

Hi, I’m Hannah—the owner of Repose Well Recovery.
My path into massage therapy began long before I ever entered a classroom. I lived with chronic pain from childhood, often searching for answers and trying to understand why my body felt the way it did. That search led me toward health, wellness, and the tools that can help the body feel safer, stronger, and more supported.
Years later, I learned that I had stage 4 endometriosis. Going through excision surgery and recovery gave me an even deeper understanding of what it means to live with pain, advocate for answers, and slowly find your way to a better place.
My personal experiences have shaped my education—but every step of my education has also expanded how I can help others.
Becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist taught me to better understand swelling, the lymphatic system, oncology care, and post-surgical recovery.
Training in pelvic-floor-focused visceral manipulation helped me appreciate the relationships between organs, connective tissue, movement, and pain.
Neural reset training gave me additional tools for addressing patterns of tension and helping the nervous system respond differently.
Becoming a Certified Health Coach taught me more about behavior change, motivation, goal-setting, and how to help people create realistic changes that extend beyond the treatment room.
Each part of this journey has brought me to a deeper understanding of the body—and of the person living inside it.
I know what it feels like to suffer, to search for answers, and to wonder whether things will ever improve. I also know what it feels like to finally find the right support and begin moving forward.
That is why my goal at Repose Well Recovery is not simply to provide a service. It is to help people feel heard, understand their bodies, discover supportive tools, and become empowered in their own recovery.
You deserve care that meets you where you are—and helps you move toward a better place.
