Dill wins Championship in playoff over Swank. Travis and Austin tie for third.

Rich Beard has been part of the Wizard’s World pinball scene since 2017 and has been competing in Stern Army Wizards World weeklies since 2019. For years, the results told the same story: solid nights, a handful of top tens, and a ceiling that refused to budge. Seventh place showed up more than once, December 2022, February 2026, June 2026, close enough to taste the finals, never quite enough to own them. He kept showing up anyway, grinding through mid-pack weeks and the occasional launch party, building the kind of quiet consistency that only looks inevitable after the fact.

On September 28, 2026, the grind paid off. Beard punched into the finals, took his four-player group with 22 points, then outlasted Chris Pacovsky and Austin Deventer in the championship round, 20-18-18, to claim his first weekly title. After nearly a decade around the machines and six years of official results, the player who had never finished higher than seventh finally stood on top. Persistence, not flash, wrote the ending.
