There is nothing more meaningful to me than knowing the work I do makes a difference in someone’s life. 💙
When families are facing difficult decisions about the care and well-being of someone they love, my hope is that they never feel like they have to navigate it alone.
I’m incredibly grateful for the trust families place in me and for every opportunity to listen, advocate, provide guidance, and simply be there when they need someone in their corner.
Thank you to those who take the time to share their experiences and kind words. Your support means more than you know. 🥹💙
At Mindful Transitions, my goal is simple: to provide guidance, support, and peace of mind during life’s most difficult transitions.
Thank you for allowing me to do what I love. 💙

Have you or someone you love been diagnosed with dementia?
We have been blessed to see so many wonderful support groups and resources available for caregivers, but we've also recognized an important gap. Those who are living with dementia deserve a safe, welcoming place to connect, share, and be supported too.
We're exploring the possibility of starting a support group specifically for individuals living with early-stage dementia, where they can build friendships, participate in meaningful conversations and activities, and know they are not alone.
Before we begin planning, we'd love to hear from our community.
Would you or someone you know be interested in participating in a group like this?
What kinds of activities or topics would be most meaningful?
Please comment below or send me a private message. Your feedback will help us create something that truly meets the needs of those living with dementia.
Together, let's make sure no one has to navigate this journey alone. 💜

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as a panelist at the Smiling Tears Caregiver Luncheon this past weekend.
Every time I'm given the chance to speak with caregivers, I'm reminded why I do what I do. Caregiving is one of the most selfless and challenging journeys a person can take, and no one should have to walk that path alone.
Being able to share resources, offer support, and provide knowledge that can make even one caregiver's journey a little easier is truly an honor. I hope everyone who attended left feeling encouraged, empowered, and reminded that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness.
Thank you to Smiling Tears for creating such a meaningful event and for your commitment to uplifting caregivers in our community. It was a privilege to be part of such an inspiring afternoon alongside so many compassionate individuals.
Together, we can continue building a community where caregivers feel seen, supported, and valued. 💜🦋

A little full-circle moment for me. ❤️
For the next couple of weeks, I'll be stepping back into one of the roles that helped shape my career as I fill in as the Interim Social Services Director at Sacred Heart while their incredible director enjoys a well-deserved vacation.
Long-term care will always have a special place in my heart. It's where I learned that behind every care plan is a person, behind every family meeting is a story, and sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone is simply helping them navigate a difficult season with compassion.
While I'll still be serving my clients through Mindful Transitions, I'm excited to spend some time back in a skilled nursing facility doing the work that first inspired me to start my business.
I'm grateful for the opportunity, for the trust that's been placed in me, and for the chance to support both the residents and the dedicated staff over the next couple of weeks.
Sometimes going back to your roots reminds you exactly why you planted them there in the first place. 💙

I think I've officially entered my butterfly season. 🦋
Not because life suddenly became easy—but because I've learned that growth often comes from the seasons that challenge us the most.
This season has taught me to trust the process, embrace change, and step into the purpose I've felt called to for years. That's exactly why I created Mindful Transitions LLC.
Every day, I meet families who are in their own season of transformation. A hospital stay. A dementia diagnosis. A parent who can no longer live alone. The uncertainty of "What do we do now?"
Those moments can feel overwhelming—but they don't have to be faced alone.
My passion is helping older adults and their families navigate life's transitions with clarity, compassion, and a plan. Whether it's future planning, care coordination, finding resources, or simply having someone who understands to walk beside you, that's why I'm here.
Just like a butterfly, we aren't meant to stay in the same place forever. Growth can be uncomfortable... but it can also be beautiful.
I'd love to hear from you. What season of life are you in right now?
🌱 Planting new beginnings?
🐛 Growing through challenges?
🦋 Embracing transformation?
Share your answer in the comments—I can't wait to read them. And if you know someone who could use a little extra support during a life transition, tag them or send them my way.
💚 Because every transition deserves compassion, guidance, and a plan.

What better way to kick off the 4th of July and Americas 250th year of independence than with a parade?!
Thank you to everyone who participated, came out to see us and watched from home! 🇺🇲
There are so many moments in life that we never expect—a hospital stay, a new diagnosis, or the realization that a loved one can no longer manage on their own.
During times like these, families are often left asking, "What do we do now?"
That's where I come in.
At Mindful Transitions LLC, I help older adults and their families navigate difficult decisions, connect with resources, and create a plan that brings peace of mind during uncertain times.
You don't have to figure it all out alone.💙
If you or someone you love could benefit from guidance, send me a message. Even if you're not sure where to start, I'm happy to help.

One of my favorite parts of networking is learning about the incredible resources available right here in our community!
Today I had the opportunity to attend a networking event at Creative Arts Council of Wells County and learn more about Ness Bros Realtors & Auctioneers. Their team offers valuable expertise for individuals and families navigating real estate decisions, downsizing, estate transitions, and auctions.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Maddison Knafel, a Financial Planner who is a fantastic resource for older adults and their families. Financial planning can feel overwhelming, especially during major life transitions, and having knowledgeable professionals to help guide those conversations can make all the difference.
As someone who works with seniors and their families, I'm always looking to build relationships with trusted professionals who can help my clients navigate life's challenges with confidence.
What local businesses or professionals have made a positive impact on you or your family? Drop their name in the comments—I love discovering great community resources!
Do you have a safety plan for your family in case of a tornado, fire, or other natural disaster?
Most of us do.
But have you thought about what would happen if you suddenly became ill, were hospitalized, or needed rehabilitation in a nursing facility?
-Who would pay your bills?
-Who would make healthcare decisions if you couldn't?
-Does your family know your wishes?
-Do you have the right legal documents in place?
Just like we prepare for emergencies we hope never happen, it's important to prepare for life's unexpected transitions.
Having a plan in place can reduce stress, prevent family conflict, and ensure your wishes are honored.
If you or a loved one would like to talk about future planning, long-term care options, guardianship, power of attorney, dementia planning, or available resources, I'm happy to help.
A little planning today can provide peace of mind tomorrow.
