⚡ Chargers, let's go! The Super Shot team was on campus at West Noble High School this morning, and we brought some backup: our nursing student from Indiana Wesleyan University is joining us to help students get up-to-date and school compliant with their vaccines!
Huge thanks to our future nurses for their hard work, and to every Charger stepping up to protect themselves, their classmates, and their family! 💪

Important news release from the Allen County Department of Health. Possible measles exposure at the Fort Wayne Zoo on Sunday, September 27 from 11:30a - 5p.
➡️Measles is highly contagious and dangerous.
➡️Two doses of the MMR vaccine provides 97% protection against getting the measles.
➡️Children:
✔️1st dose at 12 months
✔️2nd dose at 4 years
➡️Adults:
✔️If born before 1957, considered to have natural immunity from natural infection
✔️Born 1957-1968: Single dose if no documentation or titers
✔️Born after 1968: If you received 2 documented doses of MMR, no additional doses needed
✔️If no documentation, check titers or get vaccinated.
Super Shot is providing priority appointments to those needing MMR vaccines.

Update as of Oct. 2: 25 cases with an additional case confirmed in LaGrange County today.
Troubling update as of today September 30 at 1pm. 24 known measles cases in Indiana in 3 additional counties - DeKalb, LaGrange, and Ohio.

Children need their first dose of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine at 12 months of age and then a second dose at 4 years of age. Two doses provides 97% protection against measles.
