Partners In Patriotism
Partners in Patriotism is a community outreach initiative launched by the Kraft Group in 2014 for the town of Foxborough.
A quarterly newsletter is published and mailed to residents to provide insight into the progress and philanthropy of the Kraft Group and its partnership with Foxborough. This week’s Noteworthy Neighbor is Breda Annis!
Since 2013, Breda has dedicated herself to the Foxborough community as an educator, mentor and advocate for students. As a teacher at the Ahern Middle School, she is committed to ensuring every student feels safe, supported and valued while helping them grow into confident learners. In addition to teaching, she serves as co-coordinator of the Ahern WEB Program, a Rise Up teacher in the school's METCO program, a member of the district's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee and as an advisor for both the ski club and cooking club. She has also served on several district committees and regularly contributes to initiatives that strengthen the school community.
“Giving back to the community of Foxborough is my way of trying to make this little corner of the world an even nicer, more welcoming place where everyone belongs,” Breda said. “The ability to make a difference in at least one child's day is motivation enough. This is my calling. I cannot imagine doing anything else. I was quite literally born to be a teacher.”

Something I, along with so many of my colleagues, work hard to do is create a positive community at our middle school,” Zack said. “As a teacher, I frequently remind myself that it’s a privilege to have a platform and it’s up to us to use that platform for good. I promise to always use my platform to advocate for the best for Foxborough kids and educators so that this town continues to be the amazing place that it has proven to be.”

This week’s is eight-year resident Dr. Maya Lespinasse!
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Maya operates How’s Your Pelvis? Physical Therapy & Wellness, a boutique health and wellness practice specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy for women, where she works with patients dealing with pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, endometriosis and more. She opened the practice in 2025 after recognizing a need for more individualized, personal and specialized pelvic healthcare for patients in the Foxborough area. Through her practice, Maya hopes to provide an environment where patients are heard, comfortable and empowered throughout their journey.
“I want it to be a place where people feel comfortable talking about topics that can sometimes be difficult or embarrassing, where they feel respected and heard, and where everyone feels welcome regardless of their age, background, race, body size, stage of life or health history,” Maya said. “Pelvic health is something that many people struggle with silently, and I wanted to create a space where people in Foxborough and the surrounding communities could access knowledgeable and compassionate care close to home.”

Our this week is 49-year resident Chris Shewry!
Chris has worked for the Town of Foxborough since 1998 in various roles and just celebrated her retirement last week! Since 2013, Chris has served as the program coordinator for the Human Services Department where she prepared weekly newsletters on senior programing, welcomed visitors, signed residents up for programs, provided their upcoming events to the Foxboro Reporter and more. In her role, Chris also organized senior trips including day trips around New England as well as trips to Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Alaska and many more locations!
“My favorite part of living here is that there has always been a strong sense of community among residents,” Chris said. “Foxborough was one of the first communities in the area to build a senior center for its older population, and it has been a great opportunity to have been a part of the changes and expansion of the Human Services Department throughout the years. Now, as a new retiree, I look forward to taking part in the programs still to come.”
