Who knew our digital die cutter could make stencils?

When you have a digital die cutter that can cut almost any shape, you start finding new uses for it.

We recently realized that it’s also a great tool for making large custom stencils.

The material we’ve found works especially well is polystyrene. It’s durable, cuts cleanly, and works great for creating large and intricate stencil designs.

But the real challenge isn't cutting the stencil — it's designing the artwork so the stencil stays together.

Sometimes we can use a stencil font that already has the necessary bridges built in. But when we're working with a logo, symbol, or completely custom graphic, we have to create those bridges ourselves.

Every section that would normally fall out has to be connected back to the rest of the stencil.

The results can be pretty impressive. We made these custom stencils for McNulty Construction Corp, who used them to create large-scale graphics directly on the pavement as part of a downtown streetscape project.

It's one of those projects where the combination of good artwork, the right material, and a digital cutter opens up a whole new range of possibilities.

You don't always need a new machine to do something new. Sometimes you just need to look at the machine you already have a little differently.

Transforming a new office into a branded workspace!

Our customer was moving into a new office in Boston and wanted a clean, modern look that reflected their brand.

Instead of traditional frosted window film, we installed printed clear vinyl to create a custom blurred privacy effect while maintaining a bright, open feel throughout the space.

We also produced and installed:

From outdated to outstanding

These before and after shots show a full refresh we recently completed for Milford Federal. The original design used vinyl plotted graphics, which we carefully removed before giving the entire surface a clean, modern upgrade using 3M Controltac with a glossy laminate finish.

The result is a sleek, vibrant look that really stands out and elevates the customer experience at the ATM.
