The annual Valley Girls Ride is presented by the Central Valley Cycling Charitab
The Eighth Annual Valley Girls Ride is presented by the Central Valley Cycling Charitable Association. The purpose of the event is twofold: to promote women's cycling in the Central Valley and to raise funds for charities. This year our beneficiaries are Break the Barriers, Camp Sunshine Dreams, Candle Lighters and I Can Shine. To that end, we have planned what we hope will be an enjoyable event for both experienced and novice cyclists.

To all of the VGR riders and supporters:
This year Parker's Team is doing something different in place of the Valley Girls Ride. Our team has been very grief stricken over the past two years due to three of our team members who have committed su***de. We devoted 50% of all funds to go to Survivors of Su***de through the Nancy Hinds foundation and in place of the VGR ride, we are fundraising for a walk put on by the American Foundation for Su***de prevention.
It is a non competitive 5k walk that it's sole purpose is for fellowship. It brings over 1000 people together who are or have suffered from a loss due to su***de.

Let's remember Marsha Sorensen as the date approaches for the 11th Annual Valley Girl's Ride. She had a vision for a women's cycling event in the Central Valley. It's a tribute to her that this event has been better every year. Time to sign up ladies!
