Medicine meets adventure in an incredible classroom.
Medical students who took part in the UCSF Fresno Lori A. Weichenthal Wilderness Medicine elective spent last week in Yosemite National Park learning to assess, adapt, and provide care in austere environments, where resources are limited and help may be miles away. SJV PRIME students recently joined them for one day.
Video description: Medical students participate in hands-on wilderness medicine training outdoors in Yosemite National Park, practicing patient assessment, emergency response and teamwork in a mountainous setting. They also participated in bonding activities such as playing games.
