Summer is no time to find out your HVAC system has been running on luck. Whether you're keeping people comfortable or protecting temperature-sensitive products, reliability matters.
When was the last time you scheduled preventive maintenance for your HVAC system?
While summer months are great for sunshine, barbecues, and swimming, it's less than ideal for your fire sprinklers to decide you need a pool and water attractions in your building on a random Wednesday. So get your fire sprinklers inspected and make sure you have a regular maintenance schedule so you're not having to fix this on a day where you are already dreaming about being on a lake.

Do you ever worry about getting a 3 a.m. call that your facility is down and power won't be restored anytime soon?
If not, either you've never been responsible for keeping a facility running, or you're staying ahead of problems with regular infrared inspections.
If those late-night calls sound familiar, it may be time to schedule an infrared inspection before a minor issue turns into major downtime.

There is only one way to keep your employees and yourself safe, and that is to actually train safety practices. You can't just throw a book at someone and say you did your part.
You need to make sure that they were properly trained and understood what they were learning, that they are keeping safe, and, in part, keeping everyone else safe as well.

It's National Safety Month, and IBS is here with a simple reminder: stay safe on the job. Accidents can happen to anyone, regardless of experience, which is why regular safety refreshers and following established procedures matter.
OSHA standards aren't meant to create extra work; they exist to protect you and your coworkers. In many cases, those rules were created because a serious incident occurred and steps were needed to prevent it from happening again.
