Congratulations 🎉 to Coach Basabe for his coaching and mentoring with the juvenile probation department of Los Angeles . This season his Irvine Blazers team in its 1st year as a franchise made history by winning the Afflerbaugh Camp Conference Championship. This season we worked with Affirmative Athletics Amazing 20 year program . Blazers team featured players from Compton , Chicago, and The Valley . This season not only focused on skill development but emotional intelligence , problem solving ,and communication which all are necessary to achieve success. More so , we also got a chance to mentor younger athletes on life decisions,career goals and the necessity to remain focus despite challenges. This season the players showed resiliency and determination. They also deserve credit for overcoming challenges and trauma in their younger years but refocusing on a better path . The most important thing is the players improve as people and improve their mindset . How many points you score isn’t the most important thing . Being a better version of yourself !
