🚒 Three new fire trucks, officially in service!
Over the course of this year, Gainesville Fire Rescue celebrated the dedication and push-in ceremonies for Engine 1, Engine 4, and Ladder 8.
The push-in ceremony is a long-standing fire service tradition dating back to the days of horse-drawn fire apparatus, when firefighters had to physically push their equipment back into the station after a call. Today, pushing in a new fire truck symbolizes its official start of service to the community.
We’re excited to have these new trucks serving Gainesville!
Keep an eye out, and you might see one of our new trucks on the road! 🚒👀

WELCOME BACK, GATORS! 🐊
A new semester means new adventures. Ride smart & stay safe.
Wear a helmet.
Use your lights. At least front white light and rear red LED light on your e-bike.
Use warning devices (horns, bells).
Ride on the right side of the road, with traffic not against it.
Keep your tires properly inflated and charge batteries outside.
Be a defensive driver – don’t expect traffic to anticipate your movements – slow down in questionable situations.
Obey traffic laws.
