Light, Shadows & Lines

I have had this photo sitting for some time waiting to see how it would go. What I find interesting here is that this photo could only be taken at a certain time and place, the conditions have to be perfect and it all has to line up to get this mix of light, shadow, and lines. Trade-show Blues

Actually this photo is the opposite. Most trade-shows are held in dark, windowless banquet halls in the bowels of hotels or resorts that file people in day in and day out. Not today. Today we had a booth on the sixth floor of a Daytona Beach boutique hotel overlooking the majestic Atlantic. The view was beautiful but it was the quintessential sunny beach day and nondescript in terms of photography....

Sunset over Camp Crystal

I was downloading photos from my trusty Leica X Vario and found that I has never gotten to the ones I took at Camp Crystal (not THAT Camp Crystal, the much more family friendly one one in Gainesville) during my time chaperoning my daughters' fifth grade field trip. This was taken on the second night and it happened quick. This photo needed little post processing as nature did most of the work, I just happened to be lucky enough to catch it!
