🇺🇸 On September 11, 2001, acts of terrorism left an enduring mark on our country. Twenty-five years later, we remember the victims, the families who carried unimaginable loss, the survivors, and the first responders and everyday people who ran toward danger, helped strangers, and served with extraordinary courage.
We also remember what followed: communities coming together, neighbors helping neighbors, and a shared resolve that hate would not have the final word.
This morning, Gainesville Fire-Rescue is hosting a 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony for our community to come together in memory of the strength that grew out of that tragedy.
The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. at Gainesville Fire Station 3, 308 N. Culberson St. Following the ceremony, continue that spirit of service by donating at the Patriot Day Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Valley Creek Church, 201 N. Culberson St.
Today, we gather to remember, honor, and pay our respects. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

• Do not connect power strips or multiple extension cords in a series.
• Never run extension cords under rugs, carpet, through doorways or in other areas where they can become pinched or damaged or where heat can build up.
• Plug appliances directly into a wall outlet - Never using an extension cord.
