This one is going to be fun to watch.

We tackled roughly 12,000 square feet today with a thorough core aeration, premium fescue blend and LESCO 18-24-12 starter fertilizer.

The starter fertilizer gives the new seed nutrients to help it germinate and begin growing, while the slow release nitrogen keeps feeding it as the lawn develops. It also encourages stronger root growth heading into winter.

It may look rough right now, but that’s part of the process. Keep it watered, give it some cooler October weather and this property should look completely different in a few weeks.

I’ll share the progress as it comes along.

Another fall overseed is in the books.

This lawn received a thorough core aeration, a premium fescue and Kentucky bluegrass seed blend, starter fertilizer and extra attention in the thin and bare areas.

Now comes the most important part: consistent watering. With cooler temperatures arriving, we should begin seeing a noticeable turnaround over the next few weeks.

Lawn preparations are underway as we continue killing off unwanted grassy w**ds and undesirable turf.

Most overseeding has been delayed by the recent heat and dry conditions, but our window finally opens next week as cooler air arrives. Renovation and overseeding work will soon begin for many lawns.

Lots of transformations ahead. I’m excited to share the progress over the next few weeks!

This process included a complete kill off, core aeration, professional w**d free grass seed, starter fertilizer, soil amendments and a top dressing to help improve seed to soil contact and support germination.

Now the watering begins. I’m excited to watch this lawn transform over the next 3 to 4 weeks!

Another overseed in the books!

This lawn received core aeration and a blend of fescue and Kentucky bluegrass seed to help thicken the turf, repair thin areas and improve its overall appearance. We also top-dressed several bare spots with peat moss to protect the seed and help improve germination.
