Today’s Main Street Mixtape comes from The Guitar Shop at Georgetown Music Sessions, and today is an extra special day for them. The Guitar Shop is celebrating one full year in business!

Located at 161 Main Street, The Guitar Shop offers new and used stringed instruments, music gear, and professional repair services. They have spent the past year helping musicians of all ages, from beginners choosing their first instrument to experienced players looking for new gear or dependable repairs. They also offer professional repair services to help keep your instruments sounding and playing their best.

Hours:

Monday through Thursday: 3:30–9 PM
Friday: 11 AM–9 PM
Saturday: 9 AM–2 PM
Sunday: Closed

Hi Friends and Fellow Musicians! It’s hard for me to believe we’ve been doing this for a full year but here we are. One year officially in business as of tomorrow, July 31st.

Truth: We wouldn’t still be in business and thriving without you. You, our community of music lovers, instruments players and enthusiasts, students, parents, and life-long learners. You’ve wrapped your arms around us and helped us grow into a hearty young business. Scott County and beyond: Thank You.

Another truth: we’ve got big plans for the remainder of 2026 and beyond. We won’t rest on our accomplishments. We will continue to find ways to serve our thriving community of musicians and music lovers.

Stop in some time between 6:30p-7:30p on Friday July 31st for instrument demos, jam sessions, deals on gear, and snazzy cookies from the one and only Desserts By Rebecca .
