A client asked Google whether her own ranch was a legitimate business. I about fell out of my chair when she sent me the answer.

Kay White runs Holiday Ranch South Polls down in Vernon, Florida. Google didn't hesitate. Yes, going since 2004, one of the oldest and largest registered fullblood South Poll producers in the country, founding members of the breed association, and here's the About page to prove it.

Then it asked whether she was looking to buy breeding stock or grass-fed beef, and offered to help her check availability.

It read Kay's website, decided she was the real deal, and then tried to sell Kay her own cattle.

Every bit of what it knew came off her own site. That's the whole lesson. AI doesn't decide you're legitimate because you've been around forever. It decides because your website SAYS you've been around since 2004, in Vernon, Florida, raising registered South Polls.

Go ask an AI about your own business sometime. Whatever it says is what your customers are hearing.

Do I Need a Total Website Redesign to Get Found by AI? 08/04/2026

One of our clients told me no when I suggested a redesign, and she was right.

Lindy Burch has been at the top of the cutting horse world for forty years. We built her website back in 2012 and she liked it exactly the way it was. She told me, keep the look I love, just make it work better.

So that's what we did. Same colors, same photos, same feel. We just finally put her STORY on it, in her own words.

Now type "cutting horse clinics in Weatherford, Texas" into Google's AI search, in THE Cutting Horse Capital of the World, and Lindy comes up first. ChatGPT says the same thing.

She was always the answer. Her website just never got around to saying so.

Most sites don't have a design problem. They have a never-says-what-you-do problem.

Remember how we've been going on about AI and websites? Here's proof it actually works. 🐴

We recently did a full redesign and a Tell Your Business Story for Lindy Burch, who's putting a big focus on her cutting clinics these days. (If you know cutting, you know Lindy.)

So the other day I typed "cutting horse clinics in Weatherford, Texas" into Google's new AI search, just to see. Lindy came up FIRST. Right at the top of the answer, ahead of everybody, in the Cutting Horse Capital of the World. πŸ‘

That's the whole point of what we've been talking about. When your website says clearly who you are and what you do, in your own voice, the AI reads it, trusts it, and hands you straight to the person asking. No ten blue links. Just you, first.

And it started with getting Lindy's real story on her site, in her words.

🐴 Day 3 of the NCHA Summer Spectacular is underway!

For us, this show brings back a lot of great memories.

We've been proud supporters of the NCHA for many years, especially the NYCHA. Both of our kids showed in the youth, both served as officers, and years ago we had the privilege of designing the NYCHA Stallion Auction website and later the Trainer Auction.

It's been fun watching generations of horsemen and horsewomen come through this industry, and we're grateful to still be a small part of it today.

To everyone showing this week...

Good luck, have a great run, and may the cow gods shine on you! πŸ€ πŸ„

We'll be cheering you on!

Ten blue links are dead

For twenty years, you Googled something and picked from ten blue links. That's over. 🐴

Now folks ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or that AI box at the top of Google, and they just believe the one answer they get. One answer. No scrolling.

So the question changed. It's not "where do I rank on Google" anymore. It's "when someone asks AI about my business, what does it say?" And AI builds that answer mostly from what's on your own website.

Getting that right is what we do. Since 1998, now for the AI age. 🀠

(Link in the comments if you want to dig in.)

What have you noticed, are you asking AI stuff you used to Google? πŸ‘‡

Lone Star Stallion Incentive 07/07/2026

We'd like to welcome The Lone Star Stallion Incentive Stallion Auction to our BSID family of new website designs.

Their goal is to create an incentive that is Texas based, transparent to all involved, and to support the growth of the barrel racing industry while creating strong partnerships with stallion owners who choose to support our program. Stallion owners may donate a breeding to be auctioned off or buy in as a reference sire.

The proceeds from the online Stallion Auction (running Oct. 1-28, 2026) will be used towards added money for the Lone Star Stallion Incentive that will be held in conjunction with the Lone Star Shootout in January in Waco Tx. Futurity, Derby & Open classes will be offered.

Check out their brand new stallion auction website here:
