It was a busy day!

Visited one of my first time security camera customers this evening. I installed this system for him and his barn back in 2020. The system is still running strong. 24/7 recording, non stop, just works, all original, and no subscriptions. Added a few new cameras to the fleet today.

MFA just saved my Google Account...

Someone in the United Kingdom somehow guessed my unique password I only use for my Google account. Luckily enough, they were prompted to use MFA and it stopped the sign in.

My advice for this rainy weekend, check all of your accounts, and ensure MFA is enabled on all of them. If you don't know how to check, Google "how do I enable MFA on "account name here".

I have been quiet for a few months! It has been non-stop, we are juggling quite a few projects right now big and small, but I wanted to shout out the year 2025 real quick.

A total revamp to Bean & brew's network, Wi-Fi, and expanded the security camera system we originally installed back in 2022. The goal was simple — reliability, seamless coverage, cost savings, and room to grow. This doesn't just happen over night, planning, quotes back and forth, many long nights working after hours to make sure there is zero downtime during business hours. We finally have a finished stack.

Initially when we first started work for Bean & Brew it was a coffee shop and restaurant in one building. Fast forward a few years later and they grew and added a building next door which resulted to infrastructure upgrades needed. Wi-Fi now runs on the same network across both buildings, giving staff and guests a smooth, consistent experience. Cameras are fully integrated into the network for a clean, reliable setup behind the scenes.
