Mission Statement: To provide cost efficient and responsive services through innovative leadership and teamwork to enhance quality of life.
To plan and to provide the highest quality service emphasizing public needs. The Georgetown County Landfill consists of a "Subtitle D" Landfill and a Construction and Demolition Landfill. The "Subtitle D" Landfill has four planned cells expected to last nearly twenty years. Lining each cell with a HDPE plastic liner and equipping each cell with a leachate collection system, ensures that there is no leakage to the environment. The Construction and Demolition Landfill contains debris from construction, demolition, and remodeling including structural items such as lumber, concrete, shingles, and wallboard. Combined, these two facilities receive over 85,000 tons of debris per year.
