Parkside Elementary School

Picture Day is TOMORROW, Mustangs! 📸✨

Come ready to smile on Tuesday, October 6! Mighty is dressed to impress and ready for his yearbook photo—we can’t wait to see all of our Mustangs looking picture-perfect! ❤️💙

Help us win TEA for our amazing TEAchers!!!!!

🔴🔵🟡 Get ready to make your mark, Mustangs!

On Tuesday, September 15, Parkside will celebrate International Dot Day — a day inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds that celebrates creativity, courage, and the idea that each of us can make a difference.

We’re inviting all Mustangs to join the fun by wearing POLKA DOTS! 🔵🟢🟣

We can’t wait to see Parkside covered in dots as we celebrate creativity and remind our students to make their mark on the world!

❤️📚 We LOVE this beautiful Hispanic Heritage Month display our amazing librarian put together! So many incredible books highlighting stories, cultures, voices, and traditions for our Mustangs to discover and enjoy. What a wonderful way to celebrate through reading!

Super grateful to LEEF for the $5,000 grant to take some of our amazing teachers to the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented Conference this year so we can add some tools to our toolbox to support our Mustang learners!

First day = BEST day! ❤️💙🐴

We loved having our Mustangs back at Parkside today! 📸 Don’t forget to tag Parkside Elementary School in your first-day photos—we want to see those smiling faces, fresh outfits, backpacks, and back-to-school excitement!

Here’s to an amazing year, Mustangs! ❤️💙

Please join us in welcoming Amanda Pickens to the team!

We are so excited to officially welcome Amanda to the Parkside staff as our part-time QUEST teacher! Amanda will work alongside Mrs. Koller to serve our QUEST students, and we are thrilled to have her joining us in this new role.

Before becoming a familiar face on our PTA, Amanda was a teacher right here in Leander ISD, teaching both 3rd and 5th grade at Reagan Elementary. She later took some time away from the classroom to stay home with her three children—all Mustangs!—while continuing to serve Parkside through various PTA roles.

After spending the last few years back in our classrooms as a substitute, we couldn’t be happier to make it official.

Welcome to the Parkside staff, Amanda! ❤🖤💙

We are PUMPED for an amazing Meet the Teacher Night and have a request! We have the supplies for two super cute back to school photo opportunities that we want to set up for the night! If this feels like something you could help with, let us know by commenting below or emailing Principal Looman at [email protected]! Many hands make light work!

UPDATE: Rouse Football is helping us out!!! Thank you Coach Hopkins and team!!!!

We are looking for some volunteers FRIDAY, AUG 7 at 9:00 a.m to help us get our spaces ready for the year! If you have any kids or teens looking for service hours, this is a great opportunity. We have extra desks, chairs, etc to move into a portable building here on campus. Alone it would take all day, but with help, we can knock it out quick! **If your Parkside student wants to help, please plan to be there with them!**

Please comment below or email [email protected] if you can help so we know who to expect!
