🍁 Fall Break Announcement 🍂

Attention families: Scott County Preschool will be closed for Fall Break from Monday, October 5th through Friday, October 9th.

We hope all of our little learners, families, and staff have a wonderful, relaxing week filled with crisp autumn air, pumpkin picking, and sweet memory-making!

🏡 We will welcome everyone back to school on Monday, October 12th.

🖍️ Fun At-Home Fall Activities
If you are looking for simple ways to keep those little hands busy during the week off, here are a few easy, preschool-friendly ideas:
• 🍂 Leaf Hunt & Count: Go for a neighborhood walk to collect fallen leaves, then sort them by color or practice counting them together.
• 🎨 Pumpkin Painting: Skip the carving tools and let your toddler decorate a pumpkin with washable paint, stickers, or markers.
• 🍎 Apple Printing: Cut an apple in half, dip it in paint, and use it as a stamp to make festive autumn artwork.

Have a safe and happy break! Don't forget to tag us in your autumn adventures—we can't wait to hear all about them when we get back!

Today we’re celebrating the ones who help make our building run smoothly every single day! 🦉💚 From keeping our school clean and keep it running like it should to making sure our students are fed and cared for, our janitors and cafeteria staff are an important part of our preschool family!

We appreciate all the behind-the-scenes work done to keep our school going! 💚

Information for the week of Fall Break:
The Scott County Preschool Family Resource Center in cooperation with the Amen House, has a limited number of food "backpacks" available to families participating in the backpack program. The bags will have 7 days of food similar to the backpacks that participating children bring home on Thursdays.

Because of the amount of food included in the fall break bags, we are NOT able to send them home with bus riders. Those bags can be picked up at the Family Resource Center at the school during regular school hours beginning on September 29th.

Car riders will receive their bags at dismissal during the week before fall break.

Backpacks will be provided on a first come first served basis.

We need students and staff to show up and celebrate! The rooms with the highest attendance will win a popsicle party!
