If the picture didn’t give it away… September’s Teachers of the Month are all from our Agriculture Department! 🌱🔧🐄

Congratulations to Mr. Felts (Horticulture), Mr. Jewell (Ag Power & Construction), and Mrs. Kincaid (Animal Science)!

If you step into our Ag wing, it doesn’t take long to see the passion each of these teachers has for their students and their programs. Whether students are in the greenhouse, working in the shop, or learning about animal science, these three create opportunities for students to learn, build real-world skills, and find something they can be passionate about.

We’re thankful for the energy and heart they bring to SCHS every day. Congratulations to three very deserving September Teachers of the Month!

Ms. Cantrell’s AP World History students are building strong arguments, literally!
Students evaluated peer “Argument Towers” designed to practice writing a strong thesis (white), topic sentences (yellow), supporting evidence (green), and analysis (pink). Each tower helps students sharpen the skills they’ll need to tackle the Long Essay Question on the AP World History exam!

Students in Mrs. Stokesbary’s English class are diving deeper into Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds through Character Autopsies! 📚 They’re analyzing direct and indirect character traits and supporting their conclusions with evidence from the text.
