💜What is the goal of Montessori Elementary education?💛
At Forbes Academy, we believe Elementary is about preparing children for life.
It is a time when children begin asking bigger questions, developing deeper friendships, taking on meaningful responsibilities, and discovering who they are as learners and leaders.
Through hands-on Montessori learning, real-world experiences, Spanish bilingualism, technology literacy, Cosmic education, and community involvement, our Elementary students will build the confidence and independence to thrive far beyond the classroom.
🦅We are currently welcoming families interested in becoming part of Forbes Academy’s inaugural Elementary community and helping shape the future of our school from the very beginning.

April is Autism Acceptance Month 💜
At Forbes Academy, we don’t believe in one “right” way to learn.
We believe in meeting children where they are and helping them grow from there.
Inclusion lives in our classrooms every day.

This small shelf might look simple, but it holds one of the defining features of the AMI approach to Montessori mathematics. Inside are blank slips, graph paper in many sizes, and materials for making arithmetic books, tools that invite originality and creativity in mathematics.
In AMI classrooms, we offer abundant blank paper types so that the child can design, record, and express mathematical thought in their own way. Instead of completing pre-set worksheets or even hundreds of pre-made task cards of curriculum, the role of the Guide is to further children's ability to create their own pages, following the natural flow of discovery built into the materials. This freedom fosters precision, creativity, and a sense of ownership over their work.
It’s a startling difference, as compared to other approaches. The child is not filling in someone else’s pattern; they’re building their own. On the other hand, it requires a high level of mastery and observation from the Guide, requiring this depth of preparation in training.
