Their shop has a great selection of electric guitars, acoustic guitars, basses and 12-string guitars. You will find everything from classic single-cutaway electrics to modern Schecter models, along with natural wood basses and beautiful acoustic finishes.

Main Street Mixtapes: The Guitar Shop

Today’s Main Street Mixtape comes from The Guitar Shop at Georgetown Music Sessions, and today is an extra special day for them. The Guitar Shop is celebrating one full year in business!

Located at 161 Main Street, The Guitar Shop offers new and used stringed instruments, music gear, and professional repair services. They have spent the past year helping musicians of all ages, from beginners choosing their first instrument to experienced players looking for new gear or dependable repairs. They also offer professional repair services to help keep your instruments sounding and playing their best.

Hours:

Monday through Thursday: 3:30–9 PM
Friday: 11 AM–9 PM
Saturday: 9 AM–2 PM
Sunday: Closed

Meet Mason Hutchinson!

For Mason Hutchinson, songwriting began as something he simply found himself doing. What started almost unexpectedly has grown into a meaningful part of his life and a way to connect with the people listening.

Mason writes his thoughts and experiences down through music. He has described songwriting as a form of therapy and says many of his songs have taken on lives of their own through the people who hear them. Some of the songs he has been asked to release for years will finally be included on his upcoming album.

Before celebrating that release in Cincinnati later this month, Mason will join us at Georgetown Underground for our August Songwriter Round. Come hear the stories behind his music in the intimate setting these songs were made for.
