My name is Colleen Haas and I am part of the solution to drowning. I offer lessons in both Queen Creek and Gilbert, Arizona.
I am a Certified Infant Swimming Resource Instructor. For more than 45 years, Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) has been teaching children critical Self-Rescue™ skills -- giving children the competence and confidence to safely enjoy the water. ISR’s technique teaches babies from 6 months to 6 years of age how to save themselves if they were to end up in the water alone. I teach children how to survive in the water. Depending on your child’s age, your child will learn different levels of Self-Rescue skills, including a roll-back-to-float and/or a swim-float-swim.

Congratulations to my son, Jared, for becoming a Certified ISR Instructor this year!
He started his first ISR students this week, and I could not be more proud of him.
If you are wanting lessons before summer, he has options in Queen Creek in the morning at our pool or Gilbert in the evenings at your home! Jared has grown up in the water. He has watched, learned, and lived this work alongside me for the past 19 years. Seeing him now choose this path for himself and step into teaching drowning prevention fills me with so much joy.
This is also his fourth year teaching stroke lessons, backed by a lifetime of swimming experience, and passion for getting children confident in the water, he is prepared to get your child skilled in the water and prepared for swim team and now to survive a potential drowning. He is patient and genuinely cares about the students and families he works with.
Watching him follow in my footsteps, not because he had to, but because he wants to, is one of my greatest gifts.

Happy 4th of July week! Stay safe around water and please watch the smaller children in your life in and around water. This is the 100% way to avoid a drowning happening. Constant supervision! Remembering sweet Mia. She was an angel too precious for this earth. She had an impact on me and on all of us that knew her, even strangers. Very few four-year-olds in this world could say that. I loved her and will miss her dearly. She will be forever loved, remembered, and missed. She’s in the arms of Jesus now and forever in His care. My heart and prayers are with the Preston family at this time and always. 💕
