When interns return as staff. 💼

It's National Intern Day, and Gilbert is proud to offer meaningful internship opportunities that give students hands-on experience in local government.

Across departments, our teams work closely with interns, providing mentorship, guidance, and meaningful project experience that helps prepare them for what's next.

And while we love seeing interns come back to Gilbert, our goal is bigger than that. We're here to help students build the skills, confidence, and experience they'll carry wherever their careers take them.

Monsoon season is unpredictable. 😅 But a little preparation can go a long way.

If you get caught driving in a dust storm or heavy rain and visibility is too low to drive safely, remember: Pull Aside. Stay Alive. 🚗

If you need to stop:

• Pull completely off the roadway.
• Put your vehicle in park and set the parking brake.
• Turn off all your lights, including your emergency flashers, so other drivers don't mistake your parked vehicle for one that's still moving and follow you off the road.
• Stay in your vehicle until conditions improve.

If you see a fallen tree or debris blocking the roadway, call the Gilbert Police Department's non-emergency line at (480) 503-6500. 🌳

If your power goes out, check your utility provider's outage map for the latest updates. ⚡
