One of the easiest ways to save water is to skip overseeding. 🍂

Overseeding requires about 8,000 gallons of water for every 1,000 square feet of winter grass throughout the season.

A dormant lawn uses only 500 gallons.

Small changes like this can make a difference as we face a future with less water from the Colorado River. 💧

Be prepared, drivers! 🚗 The Arizona Department of Transportation has several closures scheduled this weekend for pavement maintenance and the Loop 202 widening project.

Here's what you need to know:

🚧 Eastbound Loop 202 between Williams Field Road and US 60 will be CLOSED from 10 PM Friday, September 18, to noon Saturday, September 19. The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Val Vista Drive and Lindsay Road will also be closed.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using Val Vista Drive or Higley Road to eastbound US 60 to access eastbound Loop 202 beyond the closure.

🚧 Westbound Loop 202 between US 60 and Alma School Road will be CLOSED from 10 PM Saturday, September 19, to noon Sunday, September 20. The westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at University Drive and Broadway Road will also be closed.

🚧 Also happening: The Loop 202 (Santan Freeway), Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive widening project has a closure scheduled from Cooper to Alma School roads from 10 PM Friday, September 18, to 5 AM Monday, September 21.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using westbound US 60 to southbound Loop 101 to continue beyond the closure.
