🤍 If you needed this reminder today, this post was for you.

Motherhood has a way of making us feel like we’re never doing enough, but to your baby, you’re everything.

Save this for the hard days, and send it to a mama who needs to hear this today.

Breastfeeding shouldn’t hurt… but what if it does? 🤍

The truth is, painful latching and sore ni***es can take so much of the joy out of those first days with your baby.

If you’re dreading every feeding because of the toe-curling pain… if you’re gripping the couch, holding your breath, or fighting back tears… you’re not alone.

✨ That isn’t how breastfeeding is supposed to feel.

And most importantly—you don’t have to just “push through it.”

You deserve support, answers, and a plan that actually works.

The first step is figuring out the root cause of your pain. Once we know why it’s happening, we can create the right plan to help you breastfeed more comfortably.

There are 3 common causes of ni**le pain that we see over and over again. Some have simple fixes, while others take a little more time and support—but all of them deserve to be addressed.

You don’t have to suffer through breastfeeding. 💛

The hardest part about postpartum isn’t always asking for help, it’s knowing what to ask for.

So the next time someone says, “Let me know if you need anything,” send them this list. 🤍

Which one would’ve helped you the most?

The hospital stay is just the beginning. 🤍

The moment you walk through your front door with your baby, the real questions begin. Feeding, latching, milk supply, cluster feeding, pumping, sleep deprivation… and somehow you’re expected to figure it all out.

You don’t have to.

We’re here to help you feed your baby with confidence, not guesswork. 🫶

Everyone tells you to pack the hospital bag.

Nobody tells you to prepare for the thing you’ll do 8–12 times a day once your baby arrives.

Breastfeeding is a learned skill—for both you and your baby. It’s not something you’re just expected to know because you gave birth.

Imagine training for a marathon without ever learning how to run. That’s what so many new parents experience when it comes to feeding.

A little preparation before baby arrives can make a world of difference.

🤍 Save this as a reminder.
🤍 Share it with an expecting parent.
🤍 And if you’re pregnant, don’t wait until you’re struggling to ask for support.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that all lactation consultants provide the same care.
The truth is, every IBCLC has the same credential, but our roles can look very different depending on where we practice.
Hospital IBCLCs play an incredible role in helping families get breastfeeding started after birth. 💛
In-home lactation support picks up where the hospital often has to leave off. Once you’re home, feeding challenges can change—and having someone come alongside you in your own environment can make all the difference.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed after bringing your baby home, please know you don’t have to navigate it alone. Support doesn’t end when you’re discharged. 🤍
✨ Save this for postpartum.🤱 Tag an expecting mama who needs to hear this.

The biggest difference between the moms who meet their breastfeeding goals and the ones who stop sooner than they hoped?

✨ Support.

Breastfeeding isn’t something most of us instinctively know how to do. It’s a skill that takes time, practice, and guidance—for both you and your baby.

If you’re struggling, you’re not failing. You deserve support before you decide to give up. 🤍

Save this for a new mom who needs to hear it, and share it with someone who’s expecting. 🫶
