Last Wednesday, we held our first Recognition Awards at the ranch, and it was so nice to see our students recognized for their hard work, growth, and accomplishments.

A huge thank you to the JVA students and staff for hosting us and making the evening so welcoming. From preparing and serving dinner to helping lead the event and cheering on their peers, they did an amazing job supporting our students throughout the evening.

We are so happy to be part of the JVA community and look forward to many more celebrations together! 🌟

A Friday well spent! 🌟 As members of the Arizona Association for Lifelong Learning (AALL), today we had the opportunity to participate in a Lunch & Learn at the Phoenix Mayor’s Office alongside adult education partners from across Arizona.

We shared student stories, experiences, and successes, and a special highlight was hearing directly from adult learners themselves. We are especially proud of our GALP student ambassadors who shared their own journeys and helped show firsthand why adult education matters! 💛

What a special way to wrap up our 2026 Arizona Adult Education Institute! 💙 GALP was honored to receive two workforce awards from the Arizona Department of Education! 🏆 One for Credential Attainment and one for Workplace Literacy Programming. 🏆

From ESOL and HSE preparation to IET career training, we work to help adult learners build skills, earn credentials, and create new opportunities for their future. We are so incredibly proud of our hardworking students and grateful for our entire staff. Every role matters, and every person contributes to student success! 🌟

Today is National Wildland Firefighter Day, a day to recognize the dedicated men and women who work tirelessly to protect our communities and natural resources from wildfires.

Gilbert Adult Learning Program has had the privilege of partnering with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management's Phoenix Crew through our Workplace Literacy Program for the past three years. It has been an honor to support such a hardworking and dedicated team, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of their professional learning journey.

To the Phoenix Crew and ALL wildland firefighters, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to keeping our communities safe. We appreciate everything you do and wish you a safe wildfire season! ❤️🔥

Our ESOL summer students are on a field trip and taking advantage of today’s local job fair! It’s a busy event with lots of employers and job seekers. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, stop by the Southeast Regional Library at Greenfield and Guadalupe today from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Today, the Gilbert Adult Learning Program was recognized at the 2026 Gilbert Chamber Annual Business Awards and received a Partner Award in recognition of our service to the Gilbert community. This recognition reflects the dedication of our students, instructors, staff, and community partners who make this work possible. 🌟

We are also incredibly grateful for the generous $1,000 scholarship donation from Gilbert Chamber Foundation which will help HSE students in need of financial assistance pay for GED exam fees and continue on their path to success. 🎓 Today was a good day for adult education. 💛

Last Friday, Gilbert Adult Learning Program was pleased to participate in the Arizona Association for Lifelong Learning (AALL) Board Retreat.

AALL is a statewide organization that supports adult education, lifelong learning, and professional development across Arizona.

We are proud to have three members of our program serving on the AALL Board of Directors. This year also marks a meaningful milestone, as our student, Amal, a COABE Student Ambassador, is serving as the board's first student member.

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with adult education leaders from across the state and support opportunities for adult learners.

On Friday, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our amazing students at this year's graduation ceremony! 🎓✨

We are so proud to announce that 44 students earned their HSE diplomas this year, with 32 walking in the ceremony. We also inducted 14 students into the National Adult Education Honor Society for their stellar academic dedication!

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Your hard work and perseverance have paid off, and we can’t wait to see your continued success. 🌟

A huge thank you to the Gilbert High School student groups who helped make the day extra special: the Air Force Junior ROTC for presenting the colors, and the Advanced Vocal Ensemble for singing the National Anthem. We appreciate your amazing support!
