Today is National Custodian Day, and we're celebrating the incredible members of our GPHS custodial team who work hard every day to take care of our campus and our Gopher family!

To our custodians: THANK YOU for everything you do—often behind the scenes—to keep GPHS running, clean, and ready for our students and staff each day. We appreciate you!

to everyone who joined us for a beautiful evening celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Grand Prairie High School! 🎉

Our campus came together with family, friends, students and staff for a night filled with music, dance, art, great food, fellowship and LOTS of smiles!

🎨 GPHS Art showcased the talents of our students
💙 LULAC helped us celebrate culture, heritage and community

Gophers & GPHS Families — there are several ways students can earn attendance recovery hours throughout the school year!

📚 Regular teacher tutoring
🕒 Extended tutoring
📅 Designated Saturdays
🎟️ Eligible school events

👀 Look for the Gopher wearing the clock chain! If you see him on an event flyer, that means students can earn attendance recovery hours at that event.

📱 SCAN & SAVE! Use the QR codes on the flyer to:
• Check how many attendance hours you owe
• Find teacher tutoring times

The QR codes will work ALL SCHOOL YEAR, so save this post or flyer and check back anytime! Attendance hours should be updated each Monday to reflect hours earned.

Don’t wait until the last minute, Gophers — start making up those hours now!

✅Email is the preferred method for reporting an absence. It helps families avoid long hold times or dropped calls and provides a record that the absence was submitted.

Gophers, our Blood Drive is this Thursday, October 1st!

Want to donate? Student sign-ups are happening Monday through Wednesday during all lunches in the Student Union with Mrs. Ziegler.

You must be at least 16 years old to donate. If you need a permission slip, you can pick one up at the sign-up table during lunch.

And seniors, remember: if you donate twice during THIS school year, you’ll earn the red blood donor honor cord to wear at graduation!
