Just listed this little sugar pine basket. I used Ponderosa for the base and inside the coils because sugar pine needles are so short, about 4 inches!

Loving the indigo color I dyed the caps on these Southern (Oregon) LongLeaf pine needles. 💙🌲💙 #Basketry #Baskets #PineNeedle #PineNeedles #PineNeedleBasket #PineNeedleBaskets #PineNeedleBasketry #PineNeedleCrafts #CoiledBasket #CoiledBaskets #CoiledBasketry #ArtFromNature #LynnVanCouvering #CabinArt #CabinDecor #LodgeDecor #RusticArt  #RusticDecor #MoonBug #MoonBugStudio #MoonBug_Studio #MoonBugStudioShop #Handmadebaskets #BasketMaker #BasketMakers #BasketCoiling #HeritageCraft #LongLeafPineNeedle #LongLeafPineNeedles #southernoregon

Ghost pine-needle basket coming along. I am thinking about making a lid for this one. I often do not because a lid is a whole other basket! I will have to use Ponderosa pine cone handle for the lid because ghost pine cones are huge, and I have these beautiful Ponderosa cones that have a lot of green in them. 👻🌲💚 #Basketry #Baskets #PineNeedle #PineNeedles #PineNeedleBasket #PineNeedleBaskets #PineNeedleBasketry #PineNeedleCrafts #CoiledBasket #CoiledBaskets #CoiledBasketry #ArtFromNature #LynnVanCouvering #CabinArt #CabinDecor #LodgeDecor #RusticArt  #RusticDecor #MoonBug #MoonBugStudio #MoonBug_Studio #MoonBugStudioShop #HandMadeBaskets #BasketMaker #BasketMakers #BasketCoiling #ghostpines

Ghost Pine needle basket progress showing the outside of the basket. I really love the color of ghost pine Needles but they are very very slender! Just means I have to use a lot more of them. Other than Southern LongLeaf, what is your favorite type of pine needle to coil? 👻🌲🖤🌲👻 #Basketry #Baskets #PineNeedle #PineNeedles #PineNeedleBasket #PineNeedleBaskets #PineNeedleBasketry #PineNeedleCrafts #CoiledBasket #CoiledBaskets #CoiledBasketry #ArtFromNature #LynnVanCouvering #CabinArt #CabinDecor #LodgeDecor #RusticArt  #RusticDecor #MoonBug #MoonBugStudio #MoonBug_Studio #MoonBugStudioShop #HandMadeBaskets #BasketMaker #BasketMakers #BasketCoiling #ghostpines

Ponderosa pine needle bounty! If only they were LongLeaf! Most of these I will use for nest boxes and bedding, but some are a pretty decent length. I'm filling up a large doghouse to store them and keep them dry before they get rained on. 🧡🌲🧡 #Basketry #Baskets #PineNeedle #PineNeedles #PineNeedleBasket #PineNeedleBaskets #PineNeedleBasketry #CoiledBasket #CoiledBaskets #CoiledBasketry #ArtFromNature #LynnVanCouvering #CabinArt #CabinDecor #LodgeDecor #RusticArt  #RusticDecor #MoonBug #MoonBugStudio #MoonBug_Studio #MoonBugStudioShop #HandMadeBaskets #BasketMaker #BasketMakers #BasketCoiling #HeritageCraft #PonderosaPine #PonderosaPineNeedles #PacificNorthWest #

It's that time of year! The squirrels are pruning the Ponderosa pine trees to get the nuts from the pinecones. Even though I have way too many, I can't help picking up these tassels for baskets. They aren't the best needles to use, but they do have a place in my basket making, especially when mother nature provides such a bounty! 🐿️🌲💚 #Basketry #Baskets #PineNeedle #PineNeedles #PineNeedleBasket #PineNeedleBaskets #PineNeedleBasketry #CoiledBasket #CoiledBaskets #CoiledBasketry #ArtFromNature #LynnVanCouvering #CabinArt #CabinDecor #LodgeDecor #RusticArt  #RusticDecor #MoonBug #MoonBugStudio #MoonBug_Studio #MoonBugStudioShop #HandMadeBaskets #BasketMaker #BasketMakers #BasketCoiling #HeritageCraft #PonderosaPine #PonderosaPineNeedles #PacificNorthWest #
