Our staff has been working hard this week to prepare our building for the start of school! We can't wait to welcome all of our RAMS to Couch MS next week! But first...Open House! See you on Friday!

We are excited to announce cheer tryouts starting on August 10th! Grab a flyer or talk to one of the coaches at Open House tomorrow! Go Rams!!!

We will kick off the year with our Open House on Friday, July 31st from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

6th Grade: 12:00-1:00 PM

7th Grade and 8th Grade: 1-3:00 PM

Back-to-School Checklist (Please Complete Prior to Open House):

School Supplies: Review and purchase items from the Couch MS Supply List. (Teachers will provide any additional class-specific details during Open House.)

ParentSquare Setup: Download the app and configure your preferred notification settings.

ParentVUE Update: Log in to ParentVUE to confirm and update your student's contact details and emergency information.

MyPaymentsPlus: Visit MyPaymentsPlus.com to complete mandatory digital sign-offs and pay 2026–2027 school fees.

Free & Reduced Lunch Application: Submit your 2026–2027 meal application.

Cross Country Kickoff:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (July 27, 29, 31) From 7:30-8:00am

Athletes and families are invited to meet the coaching staff and receive important information about the upcoming season. During this week, students and parents will:
Receive the season schedule

Receive team information and expectations

Be measured for uniforms and shoes
Submit or update parent and emergency contact information
Learn team fundamentals and season procedures
Learn what our practices consist of

We encourage all parents and guardians to attend, meet the coaches, ask questions, and receive important information to help ensure a successful season. We look forward to partnering with you!

Official Practice (for students only) will begin when school starts. (Aug 5) at 7:30 am.

Students MUST be approved in Rank One with their current physical to attend. Students may be dropped off in the back of the school (car rider entrance) and take the sidewalk to the back of the gym. Students must be picked up at 8:15 sharp as our coaches have responsibilities and meetings directly after practice. Please dress appropriately and bring water to hydrate.

We hope you are enjoying your summer. We'd like to remind you that our Open House event will be held on Friday, July 31st from 12-3pm.

Sixth grade families will attend from 12-1pm, and seventh/eighth grade families will attend from 1-3pm.

Please find grade level supply lists shared with this post. *Note: all students will require a pair of wired headphones for use with their Chromebooks.*

Cross Country Open Conditioning begins on TUESDAY, June 9th from 8-10am and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer (with a few exceptions to be communicated at a later date).

A few reminders:

- Students MUST have uploaded all paperwork and be cleared in RankOne in order to participate

- Parents should drop students off at the car rider lane (behind the school) and plan to pick up at the same place

- Students should take the sidewalk towards the back of the gym (meet on the field)

With an amazing 34,819 minutes logged, this team truly showed what dedication, teamwork, and a love of reading can do! 📖💪

To celebrate their success, students were treated to some well-deserved goodies—Smarties candy, smart popcorn, and cupcakes 🍬🍿🧁—because smart readers deserve smart rewards!
