So this is pretty exciting! I went to the Top Producer Award Gala last night as I was nominated for Top Female Realtor and to my surprise, I had the honor of winning Top Non-Profit. I didn’t even realize this was a category and it was so special to be recognized for something so dear to my heart. Anytime there is a chance to spread the word for Gulf Therapy to a new crowd, I am thrilled. Thank you, Emerald Coast Real Producers.

The 6th Annual Paddle for Peace, benefiting local nonprofit Gulf Therapy, was one for the books. Led by founder Amanda Abbott, the event brought together 170 paddlers and raised over $27,000 for better mental health in our community.

This year was especially meaningful with a surfboard memorial honoring Zach Spears and so many others who left us too soon.

The community showed up in a BIG way with fresh food and juice, sound healing, four bands on the dock, an incredible raffle, and endless local support. We were even joined by a manatee and loggerhead sea turtle!

Last weekend my friend, @heyjuliespears invited me to join her for @paddleforpeace, a fundraiser for @gulftherapy. Not only has @gulftherapy been a huge help to people I know personally, but also, they were honoring my dear friend Julie’s son, Zach who would’ve been 26 Saturday had he not passed away nearly 10 years ago. I didn’t know what to expect, but what I came away with was nothing but gratitude. Mental health is such a critical part of all of our lives. And I now understand how something as simple as paddling a SUP board can affect one’s mental health in so many positive ways. It was such a beautiful day! And I’m looking forward to being a part of it for years to come!!!
