Meet Artec 3D's latest innovation: Artec Point II.

Designed as a seamless upgrade to Artec Point, Point II provides the same trusted accuracy users rely on, while delivering more detailed data and faster scanning.

Artec Point II features 54 laser lines in ultra-fast mode and 17 parallel lines in hyperfine mode, enabling data capture of up to 5.8 million points per second, more than double the capabilities of Artec Point. Combined with metrology-grade accuracy down to 0.02 mm, the Artec Point II delivers enhanced detail and precision in every scan.

Need a first article inspection package that holds up to an aerospace audit? That's exactly what our team delivers.

We run the complete workflow: 3D scan capture, datum alignment, full-surface heat maps, GD&T evaluation in Geomagic Control X, and a Form 3 populated directly from the measured results with no manual transcription.
For the features that need the lowest uncertainty, deep bores, tight datums, we back the scan with a portable CMM so every characteristic is verified with the right instrument.

If you need a compliant, deliverable-ready FAI package without building the capability in-house, let's talk.

Our lead engineer took the brand new Artec Jet for a walk in Downtown Greenville last week 🚶 on the beautiful suspension bridge in Falls Park.

We can't wait to share the final scan with you - but in the meantime, here are a few reasons why this scanner is blowing our minds:

✅ Survey-grade accuracy of ±10 mm — no GPS needed
✅ Captures up to 1,920,000 points per second
✅ 300 m sensing range
✅ Works indoors, outdoors, and underground in a single session
✅ Seven ways to deploy it — handheld, drone, vehicle, backpack, robot, and more

Greenville's suspension bridge has never looked quite like this before. Trust us. 👀

Final scan reveal coming soon — stay tuned!

Scanning Solutions for Reflective, Transparent, and Dark Parts

Good news if you're tired of fighting chrome, glass, or matte black parts: there's a real fix, and it's simpler than you'd think.

A thin coat of vanishing spray turns a problem surface into a perfect scanning target, then disappears on its own, no cleanup needed. Add reference targets for big or tricky parts, and pair it all with a scanner built to handle hard surfaces, and even the trickiest jobs become routine.

We carry the full AESUB spray lineup and the scanners to match. Tell us what you're working on and we'll point you to the right setup.

Ever scan a shiny or dark part and get back a mess of holes and noise? That's not bad luck. It's physics, and there's a real fix for it.

We put together a full guide on choosing the right scanning spray, what actually works, what doesn't, and how things like temperature and part size change your best option.

Manual measurement cost CADmore a major contract. A 3D scanner helped them win it back.
CADmore is a product development company that lives and breathes 3D design. But in 2024, they took on a massive reverse engineering project measuring around 100 parts a month by hand. Four people. Calipers. Triple-checked measurements. And still not accurate enough.
They lost the contract.

After working with us to find the right fit, CADmore added the Scanology SIMSCAN 30 to their process. Reverse engineering time was cut in half. Accuracy went up. And they've since found new ways to use the scanner for quality control in their metal 3D printing operations.

The right tool changes everything. Digitize Designs can help you find yours.

✌️ Two scanners. Same brand. Completely different jobs. Knowing the difference could save your next project!

Two Artec 3D LiDAR scanners. Both professional-grade. Both producing survey-quality point clouds.
So what's actually different about them?
A lot, as it turns out‼️ And knowing the difference is what gets you the right tool for the job.

🔴 The Artec Jet is built to move with you.
Seven deployment configurations, including handheld, drone, vehicle, backpack, and robot. No GPS required. A SLAM engine that works just fine underground, in dense urban environments, or anywhere else GPS can't reach. It even has an AI-powered autonomous drone mode for sites where you can't physically go yourself.

🔴 The Artec Ray II is built to stay put and measure precisely.
You set it up on a tripod, it captures everything around it at 1.9 mm accuracy, and its 36-megapixel camera system produces photorealistic color point clouds that are hard to beat for detail and visual fidelity.

One moves. One stays still. And depending on your project, you might actually want both.

We put together a full side-by-side comparison of both scanners, including where each one excels, where the other falls short, and when combining them is the right call.
