This morning, we hosted Randy Dobbs for our 3rd Excelerate speaker series at International Plastics. Randy shared his journey from an abusive, broken home to leading billion-dollar organizations... and the transformational leadership principles that got him there.

His motto throughout it all: "Never Give Up."

That hit close to home for our family. Our founder, J.R. McClure, always said, "Keep on Keeping On." Two different men. Two different generations. Same fire.

Some things run deeper than strategy. They run through the DNA of a company and the people who build it.

What a morning!

We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Aaron Simmons from Furman University at International Plastics today for our "Excelerate" speaker series (yep, that's Excel + Accelerate = Excellence at a faster rate ).

Dr. Simmons is a philosophy professor, author, fly fisherman, and mountain biker who challenged us to stop thinking about "work-life balance" and start thinking about integrated, purposeful living.

His message? Excellence isn't about outcomes... it's about existence. When we focus on living well and being present where we are, the results follow naturally.

A few questions he left us with:

"What's worthy of your finitude?" (Fancy way of asking: since life is short, what really matters?)

"Are you now who you're OK having been?"

"If it doesn't work out the way you planned, are you good?"

As we head into Thanksgiving, his emphasis on gratitude, humility, and being where your feet are really hit home.

His book "Camping with Kierkegaard" sounds amazing - it's philosophy meets mountain biking and camping. Who knew that combo would go #1 in all three categories?

Grateful for our team, grateful for speakers who make us think, and grateful for this beautiful day in Greenville.
