🚨 FRIENDLY RESCUE PSA: CHECK YOUR DOG’S MICROCHIP INFO! 🐾

Having a microchip is only half the job. The contact information attached to it needs to be CURRENT.

We are listed as the secondary emergency contact on every single Lucky Pup microchip—yep, that’s over 4,000 of them! But YOU should always be the primary contact.

If they can’t reach you, they call us. If your dog wasn’t adopted from a rescue, add a trusted friend or family member as your backup.

Do NOT wait until your dog is missing to update it.
Do it now. Do it yesterday. Do it two weeks ago. 😂 Just DO IT.

And if your dog isn’t microchipped? We can help! We offer FREE microchipping at some events throughout the year. Reach out and we’ll help get your pup chipped. ❤️

🐾 And here’s why this matters…

TODAY, a dog we adopted out about a year and a half ago was found and scanned. His microchip led them back to us.

I searched the chip number in our records, found his adopter’s information and contacted her.

She answered. And he was quickly reunited with his family, safe and sound. ❤️🏡

One scan. One microchip. One happy reunion.

That tiny little chip did exactly what it was supposed to do—it got him HOME. 🐾❤️

Update on Key 🩵

Key is doing SO well, and more of her sweet little personality is coming out every day. 🥹 She’s met the dogs, cat, and our 3- and 4-year-olds and has handled everyone like a champ.

She’s getting more confident, learning to “talk” to us when she wants something, and finally realizing she’s safe. 🩵 Physically, she’s making incredible progress too—her ribs are slowly disappearing, her scabs are healing, and we’re even seeing little bits of hair growing back!

After everything she’s endured, watching her learn that life can be soft, safe, and full of love is pretty incredible. She’s getting healthier, happier, and more Key every single day. 🩵

Donations to her care are greatly appreciated as we continue to help her heal, gain weight, and blossom in to a beautiful, healthy girl!

‼️Puppy Fosters Needed‼️

Puppies are a great way to get into fostering if you’re a little nervous or are a first timer. These pups need our help but we need some extra hands before we can pull them.

They are all in URGENT need of placement so if you can help, please apply on our website!

🚨🚨 MAYDAY. MAYDAY. WE ARE OFFICIALLY OUT OF FOOD. 🚨🚨

This is our LAST 16-lb bag of Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach—and it’s being picked up by a foster this morning.

We currently have around 10–15 Lucky Pups eating this food, which means once this bag leaves… there is nothing left on the shelf. 😳

🐾 WE DESPERATELY NEED BAGS OF FOOD!

The easiest way to help is to send a bag directly through our Amazon Wish List. Even ONE bag showing up at our door makes a huge difference right now.

Or help us cover our feed bill:

If you can’t send a bag or donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. We need our Lucky Pup village to help us get these shelves filled back up. 🙏🐶

10–15 dogs are counting on this food every single day. Let’s get them fed. ❤️

🦊 Meet Foxy — our 25-pound Disney character who somehow wandered into real life.

Foxy is around 4–5 years old, ridiculously affectionate, and the definition of a Velcro dog. Couch? She’s there. Kitchen? There. Bathroom doorway? Obviously supervising. 😂 She walks beautifully on leash, is potty trained, and gets along with other dogs—although she does prefer to be management.

She’s quiet, sweet, and not particularly interested in dog shenanigans. She’d much rather follow her person around and make sure they never experience loneliness again.

A few Foxy fine-print items: baths are a personal attack, she’s still learning that the crate is not abandonment.
A fenced yard would likely be best.

Foxy became a Lucky Pup on 9/26, is being spayed today, and will be available for adoption once we get her skin healthy and feeling good again. ❤️

What combination of dog + fox + woodland princess do you think she is??? 🦊😂

💕 Introducing Laney 💕

Shy, sweet, and an absolute little doll. ❤️ Laney is still figuring out that life can be GOOD, but we’re already seeing little bursts of playfulness—and she absolutely loves other dogs!

She is incredibly affectionate and just needs a little time, patience, and love to let that happy-go-lucky girl come out. We can’t wait to watch her blossom. 🥹💕
