Today was Thomas Boston day as we enjoyed the trek to the Borders as they are called. We visited Boston’s grave and Mr Macdonald was able to share some thoughts along with the singing of Psalm 73 (Boston’s most quoted) and Psalm 23, made especially relevant by the surrounding landscape dotted with sheep. I trust we made some lasting memories here today.

Our first full day was spent on foot in Edinburgh, Scotland. Surrounded by bagpipes and history, it was a strong way to begin the tour. Pictured inside St. Giles cathedral on the royal mile.

The next Foundations Tour of Scotland begins tomorrow as our guests make their way to the land of Knox as we speak!
Upon arrival, each guest will receive a pair of complimentary Foundations Tour luggage tags. They make a nice souvenir, but they also serve a very practical purpose. At certain hotels, all luggage may be gathered together while the group checks in, allowing us to save time and keep things moving smoothly. The tags will help hotel staff identify each bag and deliver it to the correct room.
Guests will also receive a name tag and a printed copy of the tour itinerary to keep close at hand throughout the journey. And one of the most useful features of the tour will be the high speed Starlink internet available on the coach. Even while traveling through more remote parts of Scotland, guests will have a convenient way to stay connected, check messages, share photos, and keep in touch with family back home.
It’s a one of a kind unique tour designed for today’s traveler!

The complete works of Ralph Erskine are now available as part of our Audiobook Initiative exclusively on SermonAudio!
Ralph Erskine (1685–1752) was a Scottish Presbyterian minister, preacher, and poet who served in Dunfermline. Alongside his brother Ebenezer, he became a leading figure in the Scottish Secession movement, defending evangelical doctrine and the church’s spiritual independence. His most famous work, Gospel Sonnets, remains a classic of Christian devotional poetry. We are giving voice to these great treasures.

The Foundations Tour is designed to be more than a typical sightseeing tour, incorporating a devotional element for spiritual refreshment. To that end, we are thankful to welcome different local Scottish ministers featured on SermonAudio, who will bring brief, ten-minute meditations from the Psalms morning by morning.

One day, out of curiosity, I went looking for the oldest sermon by Dr. Bob Jones Sr. on SermonAudio. I came across a message he preached in chapel shortly after the University moved to its present campus in Greenville, SC. I was very blessed to listen to it. I always knew the story of why and how BJU started, but I never got to hear the burden of the founder like I did in that sermon.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bob Jones University, I thought it would be good to create a little 2-minute trailer of sorts for that sermon using excerpts from the actual sermon by Dr. Bob Jones Sr. Disclaimer, yes, it's AI, but that's his voice. I hope you will enjoy the full sermon, available here:
