Introducing the official logo for the Prisma Health Performance Center!

A group that’s already booked several tournaments for 2027 got a behind-the-scenes look at the site of the Prisma Health Performance Center this week.

The CEO and staffers from Palmetto Region Volleyball toured the property off S. Highway 14 where the 200K square foot facility is currently under construction.

The Prisma Health Performance Center is set to open in early 2027. The new hub for recreation in the City of Greer will have 18 volleyball courts, nine basketball courts, a championship gym, a wrestling room, event rental space, a fitness center, an indoor walking track, and a café.

🏗️ PROGRESS UPDATE: We’re getting closer! 🏗️

August was a major month of progress at the Prisma Health Performance Center! From setting chillers and AHUs onto the roof to completing metal panels and paving the main parking lot, the venue is taking shape fast.

Here is what was accomplished in August:

-Rooftop Lifting: Chillers set and Air Handling Units (AHUs) lifted to the roof.

-Exterior Milestones: Completed metal paneling, finished fireproofing, and poured stair treads.

-Site Infrastructure: Parking lot paving started, underground utilities set, and Duke site lighting poles set.

Looking ahead to September, the team will start landscaping and sod installation, power up the AC, and begin athletic equipment installation.

We are excited to announce the return of Greer PRT Youth Basketball. Athletics staff is currently looking for youth basketball coaches for our first season back in the brand new Prisma Health Performance Center.

*Please note, our first season will not begin this 2026 winter, first youth basketball season is set for Summer 2027.

Two youth basketball seasons per year will be offered. Summer and Winter.

The City of Greer’s new sports and events center now has a new name.

Greer Mayor Rick Danner and Todd Walker, CEO of Greer Memorial Hospital, announced a ten-year, $3 million naming rights sponsorship this morning.

When it opens in early 2027, the Prisma Health Performance Center will host a wide range of activities for Greer residents and the greater Greer community including basketball, volleyball, wrestling, camps, and senior programs -- and that’s just a fraction of what’s possible in this new home for the community. The center will also be a destination for champions from across the region who will travel to Greer to compete in weekend tournaments.

The Prisma Health Performance Center will house orthopedic and rehabilitation services that will expand access to specialized care in the Greer community.
