Greer Dragway is a 1/8th mile WDRA sanctioned dragstrip located near the city of Greer, South Carolina. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Greer is located between Greenville and Spartanburg in the Northwestern part of the State. The Greer Dragway was opened in the 1950's by the Greer Jaycees and was really a community project. All labor used in getting the track started, built and running was done by the Jaycees, neighbors and several area groups of concerned citizens. The original purpose was to provide money for needy children in the Greer, SC area. Besides having races to raise money for the children, the Jaycees would, on holiday weekends, have fireworks and other entertainment for those children. In the early 1970's the Jaycees were temporarily disbanded and the land was purchased by a realtor. The land was later leased and bought by Tom and Sue Ferrell. Roland McAbee became the manager of the track in 1979. On October 25, 1988, Roland McAbee passed away. Mike Greer then became the new manager of the track. Mike was the manager for over 20 years, and became the current owner in 2010. After the last race of 2009, the old racing surface and metal guard rails were done away with. Beginning in 2010 we have a brand new concrete track, walls and new timing equipment.

Saturday, September 26th: MAHLE Motorsports presents PowerNight for our final Points Race of 2026! Who will leave Saturday night as the 2026 Greer Dragway Track Champions?!
Gates open at 10am. We will be calling by classes for your time trial beginning around 11:30am.
Points Racers: If you have not done so already, please let us know ASAP if you plan to go or not go to the Bracket Finals with us at SC Motorplex. Even if you are not sure you will finish high enough to go please let us know as there will be some not able to attend!

Attention in the Pits! We have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow $10K Footbrake Fest. The weather forecasts are all showing somewhat different things but most agree there will be rain this evening/over night and then rain again early tomorrow afternoon and some showing even more rain during the daytime tomorrow. Potentially just not leaving us enough of a window to complete the race. With the amount of fuel costs at the moment we wanted to make a decision earlier for those that would be traveling from out of town. We are going to look at a potential reschedule date and if we are able to get it rescheduled we will let everyone know! As always we appreciate everyone who supports us!

Race Day! Come out tonight for the return of the 864 Outlaws 8 Car Shootout! We will also have our regular Thursday Practice & Grudge Racing. Gates open at 6pm. $15 cash gets you in the gate, kids under 12 are free!

Saturday, September 19th will be a battle off the bottom bulb as the $10K Footbrake Fest returns! See the flyer in the comments below for more details! We will only be running the Footbrake and Jr. Dragster class this day. (No Test & Tune)

Race Day! Gates are open now! After 10 years the Southeast Gassers return to Greer! Spectator Admission is $25, Kids 10 and under are free! On track action is scheduled to begin at 1pm. (We have are moving 1st round of qualifying up to 12:15pm trying to stay ahead of any weather)

Join us today and tomorrow for the return of the Southeast Gassers Association to Greer Dragway!
Friday: Gates open at 4pm with SEGA only Test & Tune beginning at 6pm. Friday only admission is $20.
Saturday: Gates open at 9am with Qualifying beginning at 1pm (nothing on track before 1pm). Saturday only admission is $25
Weekend Pass is $35, Kids 10 and under are free.
