😅😅 so close
A clean house means very little if I’m losing my patience, snapping at my kids, or walking around resentful trying to keep it that way.
Sometimes stewarding my home well looks like cleaning the kitchen.
Sometimes it looks like putting the laundry down, taking a breath, getting on the floor with my boys, and checking my own heart first.
The state of our home matters. But so does the state of the woman caring for it.
Mom to mom: take care of your heart too. 🤍
the chaos is pretty normal 😅😅💕

What something that changed your postpartum experience for the better?
Let’s get this new rhythm started 🌷🌻♥️
Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW it’s hard.
Being married to a man who works long hours, comes home tired, works Saturdays, misses dinner sometimes, or is physically exhausted from providing for your family can be really hard.
But at some point, you have to choose your hard.
You promised each other “for better or for worse.”
What if this is the “worse”?
What if this is simply a hard season of marriage that requires more sacrifice, more grace, and more teamwork?
And yes, this goes both ways. A husband shouldn’t use “I’m the provider” as an excuse to completely check out of his home or marriage. Your wife and children still need you.
But if your husband is working hard to provide for your family, especially as the sole provider, constantly complaining about how much he works isn’t building him up.
Your husband should be able to come home and feel like his wife is on his team.
Because if the person who is supposed to be his greatest encouragement becomes the person constantly reminding him that his sacrifice isn’t enough… who is building him back up?
You can miss your husband without resenting him.
You can be tired without making him the villain.
You can need more help without tearing down the work he is doing.
Marriage is not “you do your part and I’ll do mine.”
It’s “we’re on the same team, and we’re going to carry this season together.”
So before you complain about how much your husband works, ask yourself:
Am I communicating a genuine need, or am I making his sacrifice something he has to apologize for?
I’m a firm believer in out serving your spouse.
Solo nights are starting to get a little easier now that we are more settled into the new place!
Cant wait till the clutter gets cleaned up and I can not think about unpacking for a nice long time.

Excited an nervous for sure but also like how are we already here!!?
