The Greer Development Corporation is a 501(c) 4 non-profit organization as recognized by the IRS. The corporation is a public/private partnership between the City of Greer, the Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW), the Partnership for Tomorrow, the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce and private sector businesses. The corporation is governed by a board of nine directors representing the City of Greer, Greer CPW, the Chamber of Commerce and the private sector.

Greer Mayor Rick Danner joined BMW Manufacturing for the global unveiling of the company’s newest model.
The new BMW X5 Sports Utility Vehicle will be produced here in the Upstate along with the automotive giant’s other X models.
In 2025, BMW Plant Spartanburg led the nation in automotive exports by value – sending nearly 200,000 X models around the world. That’s a total value of $9 billion.

Breeze Airways announced it's adding two new routes from GSP to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The expansion announcement brings GSP's total of nonstop destinations to 30.
The new Breeze Airways flights will begin this summer.
