It was a 16 hour day for our Synergy SpeedLab team but we had an absolute blast entertaining the awesome people of Buckeye Lake, Ohio at the IHRA Street Party tonight!
We’re back at it early tomorrow morning as we gear up for two days Fan Zone Experiences for the Triple Crown at National Trail Raceway!
If you are in the area come enjoy some awesome racing and the best Fan Zone in motorsports this weekend!

The fun starts Thursday night, June 18, at the Buckeye Lake Street Party at The Boat Yard before we head to National Trail Raceway on Friday and Saturday for one of the biggest drag racing events in the country.

One of the coolest experiences EVER has been getting to know Tiger Tom… we could listen to his old racing stories for days! Congrats Tiger!
97 years young and officially a SpeedU graduate!
NASCAR’s second oldest living driver, Tiger Tom Pistone, is one a only a few living drivers who actually competed on the beach in Daytona. He ran the very first Daytona 500 in 1959, was a multi time champion at Soldier Field, and is known as one of the most “innovative” car builders of his era! He was a huge part of the development and growth of the U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX program in the early days as well.
When we first met Tiger on a SpeedU field trip, he shared that one of his biggest regrets was quitting school early to pursue his racing dream and never receiving his high school diploma. After a lifetime spent inspiring others and contributing to our sport, we felt it was only fitting to recognize him with an Honorary SpeedU Diploma.
He was supposed to join us at our SpeedU Graduation Ceremony a few weeks ago but wasn’t feeling well, so yesterday in Charlotte, at 97 years old, Tiger Tom Pistone officially became a class of 2026 SpeedU graduate in his own driveway before we took him over to meet a few youth racers in the pits at the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He absolutely loved seeing everyone and has already asked if we would bring him again… and of course we will!
Tiger’s story is a powerful reminder to our students that chasing your dreams and valuing your education can go hand in hand. His legacy in motorsports is incredible, but his fiesty spirit, his will to keep moving forward despite very difficult challenges, and his willingness to share his life lessons may be his greatest gift to the next generation.
